Thomas our guide lives in the neighbourhood and being a Beatles fan knows everything to know about the Beatles time in Hamburg from 1960 until 1962 and all the places and stories connected with them during this time. Highly enjoyable and excellent value compared to other tours we had looked at. Would recommend to any Beatles fan.

Great walking tour around the heart of the Beatles and Hamburg red light area. Alex was a great leader and we had a great time.

An unduly expensive and maddening experience. The tour should have been described as a tour of the red light district, with passing references to Beatle sights. The guide could not have been less interested unless talking about himself. You will better served self navigating. Frankly this tour makes me wonder what kind of monitoring Viator does of its offerings.

Sadly our guide mixed up the dates. He offered later time but were unavailable. He was apologetic and sent us a map of the area. We request a refund please, Sally

The tour started off really well with our guide, taking us to a hairdressing business that shaped their hairstyle away from the old rock & roll image the guys initially had. Then we meandered around seeing sites that we thought weren't really historical highlights nor Beatles related. When we went up Groɓe Freiheit the two venues, The Indra & Freiheit 36 (The KaiserKeller) were closed so we had no access & famous Star Club, had burnt down in 1987. We're not mega Beatles fans but we had done some research before taking the tour & there were a couple of points we were told that worried us, as to accuracy. We did get to see the spot where in the early 60s John Lennon had been photographed and he used that photo for a solo album cover in 1975. We may have been unlucky with venues not being open when we took the tour but we paid a lot of money to look at buildings who's real value was inside.

Alexander did a great job showing us all the places where the Beatles became the Beatles. As an added bonus we got to see inside the club they held their last show in 1960 before heading back to Liverpool. We liked the relaxed pace, taking time for pictures. Learning about the history of the St Pauli area was interesting too. Highly recommend

Alexander was a very good tour guide. He showed us some very interesting things. He brought us into some very interesting establishments - like the barber shop where the Beatles got their hair cut and the Indra where they first played. We met the barber who cut the Beatles hair. We also met a gentleman in the Indra who told us some interesting stories. Alexander knew these people so he was able to introduce us to them. This made the tour even more interesting. A very interesting tour.

Great knowledge of city of Hamburg and Beatles history. Pricy for 90 mins. We got some great pictures and walked away seeing things we would not have known to look for.
