Dan was so awesome! He knows everything about LOTR. I’m such a fan so I’m impressed about his knowledge and some secret spots and which better pictures to take to copy the LOTR scenes. You’re so awesome Dan! Worth the money booked this tour and look for him.

A fantastic 4.5hours spent learning about Lord of the Rings and the filming of it in this area of new Zealand. Local history was also told. Mini van of tourists made the trip comfortable and enjoyable. BUT the best part of the whole experience was our tour guide...Dan.... knowledgeable ...fun..helpful .and a good driver. He served refreshments and a snack also. Dressing up in coustume was also fun. Super job well done Dan.. My wife and I recommend this tour especially if you are even the least bit interested in The Lord of the Rings stories. Dave and Deb...Tiny , Ontario,, Canada

The locations are worth it even if you’re not a LOTR fan. The deep knowledge of your LOTR guide adds another layer. Regular well paced stops and plenty of information in between, including many back stories to the movies. Tristan was great and we felt very looked after. The opportunity to dress up and acquire some memorabilia was another bonus. ‘It is mine to give to whom I will’. Thank you Tristan

We had an absolute blast with Dan, having such a passionate guide made for such a fun and unforgettable experience (as die hard lotr fans). We never felt rushed and had plenty of time for photos and really fun costumes and props, we learned so many fun facts! Thank you again!

I did the half day tour in the morning. A perfect way to kick off my time in New Zealand. The scenery was absolutely outstanding, and Amy was an awesome guide. I especially appreciate the guidebooks to match up the movie locations with where we were. I also loved the chance to handle some replica swords, and the coffee and cookies kept us nice and warm. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

It was one of the best tours I have ever been. Our guide, Amy, gave a lot of details of the sites / stops. The views were breathtaking. On top of that, the lamingtons were delicious. Highly recommended.

Our Guide Tristan was knowledgable and entertaining. The costumes and props at the forest was fun. Only downside was we were going through the places quickly. Althiugh that depends on the group you are in. There was detailed explanatiin about each place and what went behin the scenes.

Our guide Amy was so easy to listen to, full of the knowledge. A truly unforgettable experience.
