Paola was very friendly and we had a lot of fun with the cooking class. She first showed how it is done and then guided us and gave us tips. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we also got a few tips for restaurants and sights in Bologna. We then enjoyed the food on their beautiful terrace in the garden. We would definitely recommend it :)

A "must do" when in Bologna!
This was a fantastic experience! Paola gave us a very informative and fun tour of the Bologna markets and then patiently and expertly taught us how to make homemade pasta and tiramisu. We had a lovely afternoon learning from her and enjoying her beautiful home. This was the highlight of our trip to Bologna, and I highly recommend this experience. We will treasure these memories! Thank you so much, Paola!!

Wonderful experience
This was a perfect experience. My husband and I met Paola near the market where we visited the different vendors as she explained the key products - their quality, source, utility etc. we then proceeded to her home where she walked us through the preparation of pasta and tiramisu. We wrapped up the day with lunch on her shaded patio - beginning with Lambrusco and mortadella from the market - along with Paola's focaccia, olives and other accompaniments - followed by the meal we prepared. All in all it was wonderful relaxing - but educational experience. I would highly recommend!

A Delicious Meal in a Garden Oasis
We had fantastic time cooking and eating in Paula's garden oasis. Paula was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about anything food-related in Bologna. It was one of the best meals of our two-week trip. We also very much enjoyed touring the Quadrilatero market area with Paula.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable experience in Bologna with Paola! 🇮🇹🍝
What a magnificent experience! From our first meeting with Paola at the Bologna market, we loved her warm and passionate approach. She took the time to help us discover local products and to explain to us, among other things, the differences between Parmigiano Reggiano based on their age, the different pasta shapes, as well as the fruits and vegetables of the region. You can immediately feel that she loves sharing her culture and traditions.
We then went to her place to get down to business: making our own fresh pasta! We were actually very surprised to learn that it only required two ingredients... We suddenly felt a bit lazy for always having bought our pasta pre-made! 😂
We also prepared our own tiramisu and, once again, Paola showed us that with the right techniques, it is ultimately not that complicated. We left with the desire to make both again at home!
After cooking, time for the best part: eating! 😍 Paola had prepared a delicious appetizer for us with mortadella, olives, homemade focaccia, and homemade chive cheese, accompanied by an excellent little local sparkling white wine.
We then ate the pasta we had made ourselves, served with her delicious ragù—what we, as Quebecers, would call our "spaghetti sauce" 😉—then finished the meal with the tiramisu we had prepared.
And all this in her magnificent little outdoor courtyard, in a friendly and authentically Italian atmosphere. 🇮🇹❤️
It wasn't just a cooking class, but a true immersion into Bolognese life and cuisine. It is definitely one of our wonderful memories of Bologna and an experience that we will repeat with great pleasure during a future visit.
And a big plus for my husband: Paola speaks French! 👌🏼🇫🇷
Thank you Paola for your hospitality, your generosity, and this wonderful moment. An experience that we recommend without hesitation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wonderful cooking experience with a local!
We are a family of 4, two adults and 2 kids and we had a wonderful experience with Paola. It was so nice to spend time with a local host in a genuine local experience (as opposed to generic tourist trap experience). Our meal was lovely and Paola's home is beautiful (a 30 min walk from the market for tour meeting spot or a shorter bus ride). 12 days in Italy and Paola's cooking experience has been their #1 favorite!

Great experience!
We had such a great time, learning how to make proper pasta and phenomenal Tiramisu! Me and my partner went in May and got to sit outside while eating. I never liked tiramisu but having it in Italy made with Paola's instructions was life changing. Can't wait to show off my skills to my family back home. Paola even went the extra mile to send us the recipes and extra recipes back home.
