Amazing experience with wonderful food and great company!
I cannot begin to express how wonderful this experience was! Cristina was such a warm and welcoming host, and she shared so much information about the foods and history of the foods in Portugal. My husband had little experience cooking, but he was easily able to be involved, and Cristina picked such manageable and delicious dishes to make! Excellent food, excellent company, and an excellent experience. Cannot recommend enough!

Wonderful Experience with Cristina!
Cristina was a wonderful host and warmly welcomed us into her beautiful home! She shared with us about her culture and history as we made a traditional meal together. Being a teacher and mom, she had all the patience in the world! We walked in eager to learn and left the evening with a new friend and full bellies!

Amazing cooking class with Cristina
Cristina was so warm and welcoming to our family. She had just the right tasks for each of us to manage to put together an amazing dinner. We loved learning her cooking techniques but really just loved spending time with her. We shared stories of our heritage through food and hobbies and exchanged recipes. My kids left feeling like they had a bonus grandmother and my husband and I with a new friend. This is an experience not to be missed if you are visiting Lisbon!
My wife and I took this class with Cristina on our 20th anniversary. Cristina was wonderful and welcomed us into her lovely home. She spent time telling us about her neighborhood and shared stories about her family, Portuguese history and traditions. We made three dishes: caldo verde (kale soup with chorizo), Bacalhau à (codfish) with bechamel, and Encharcada a delicious custard dessert originating from the convents of Alentejo centuries ago. She also shared Ginja (Portuguese cherry liqueur) with us, and we had some lovely white wine with the meal we prepared together while listening to Fado music. I wholeheartedly recommend that you take a cooking class with Cristina. You’ll leave with a smile on your face, traditional recipes to take back home, and wonderful memories.

Learned, laughed and ate like locals
From start to finish the experience with Christina was amazing! We truly enjoyed every moment, from being welcomed into her home and learning about the dishes we were cooking. It really was a cosy experience and definitely one to recommend to anyone. Christina, thank you for your hospitality and wonderful energy on our evening, we will for sure keep in touch 🌻🥘

Welcoming and informative cooking class

Genuine cooking experience with heart and flare
Cristina’s class was one of the most fun and intimate cooking experiences I’ve had. I had a great time cooking and conversing with her about life, family, and food (we are both very chatty :)). It’s a genuine way to connect with local Portuguese culture and open your eyes to life in Lisbon beyond the touristic city center. Walking into her home feels like entering the home of your well-traveled aunt—its decorated with motifs from her travels and daily life: chouriço hanging above the stove, foraged chestnuts on the kitchen counter, handmade table settings, a giant world map above her sofa…
We also brought our 9 month old baby (she was excellent with him) who napped in her spare room. Communication before the class was very easy. I highly recommend this cooking class if you seek a genuine experience with someone with heart and flare.

Highly recommend for an authentic local experience and meal!

Great meal and conversation!
Such a wonderful experience. We asked Cristrina to change the menu the day before and she was so accommodating. What we made was so good and cooking with Cristina was fun and educational. Great conversation and within minutes it felt as though we were having a meal at a friend's home! Thanks so much, Cristina. I can't recommend this experience highly enough.
