Obi's tour was the highlight of our trip to London. I can't recommend it enough. Obi brings such an important perspective to understanding London's history and the history of the Brixton neighborhood in particular. His deep connections with the community are obvious and it was such a privilege to experience Brixton's food and culture through his eyes. Not only was it deeply meaningful, but it was also incredibly fun. The food was amazing and Obi immediately made the entire group feel comfortable and at home. At the end of the tour we only wished that we had booked a tour of the sites in the city with him! I would definitely do that if I went back. Oh, and highly recommend booking through his website.

The African & Caribbean Food Tour in Brixton is truly a FOOD tour! Our tastings included fruit, soup, jollof rice, the best beef patty I’ve ever had and a full sit down, family style lunch with jerk chicken, collards, rice and beans, oxtail, and little dessert. Beyond the wonderful food, there are historical and cultural lessons, as well as the opportunity to spend 2-3 hours with other great people on the tour. Finally, Obi is a just a fantastic person; he’s genuine, cares about the neighborhood where he grew up, and is a wealth of knowledge. I greatly appreciate him opening his heart to share Brixton with the world. Note, if you like to shop I suggest the noon tour so that you can shop afterward. Also, to find a lower price, I recommend booking directly at his thisisgorgeous website. Book this tour, you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I absolutely loved this tour! Super chill but fast-paced enough that it never got boring. Obi is a natural guide and shared so much interesting info about his hometown. The food was… unbelievably good. You won’t go hungry! We ended the tour with a sit-down meal in an Irish-Jamaican restaurant that was the very first black-owned pub in London. A huge meal of jerk chicken, oxtail, plantains, mac’n’cheese… with a special surprise dessert from Obi’s childhood bakery. I’m not a big tour guy but this one has changed my mind. Truly a highlight of our trip. Book it- you won’t regret it!

A fabulous experience --- lovely food and I really enjoyed learning about the history of the area from someone who grew up there. The only disappointing thing was that I made the mistake of booking through airbnb who take a big chunk of the fee that should go to Obi --- so if you are looking at booking please make sure you do it directly with Obi. ps Obi is a lovely guy and a great guide

My wife and I loved not only the food, but learning about the historical and cultural significance of the neighborhood. Obi was such an incredible tour guide through the experience, and I felt uniquely cared for, as he'd already made all arrangements necessary for my dietary restrictions. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of Brixton, and London as a whole, and to enjoy some delicious food while doing so. Thank you again Obi! This was an eye open example experience with the guide Obi both knowledgeable and informative about the experiences of the black families in Brixton and the impact the community has had on the city.

Obi is the definition of a loving, experienced and knowledgeable guide! Made the entire group feel like family in the short span of 3 hours and I learned so much about the history of Brixton and why it is the city it is now. Really made me appreciate the cultural heritage and food scene of this diverse city. Will be looking to do his other tours when I come to London again!

I booked this experience for my sister and myself while visiting central London. Obi was an amazing tour guide. He checked in before to ask about dietary restrictions to ensure everyone could enjoy the tour. My sister is a vegetarian and I was impressed by how Obi managed to substitute many of the option so that my sister could have the full experience. I must say this was more than just a food tour, it was am immersion into the history and culture of the Brixton area. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about the African American and Caribbean history of London.

This is the best ORIGINAL Brixton food tour- more than food, it’s a real deal experience! (Avoid the appropriating imposters out there) Obi is a great, knowledgeable host- my second time on his tour-learned, saw and ate something new each time! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

If you're trying to check out the London food scene without going to Brixton, you're doing it wrong. Obi will take you on an AMAZING food tour filled with delicious eats. We did this tour the day before our trip was ending and we wish we did it sooner so we'd have time to revisit some of the spots. Such good food and he also made the group food tour feel so friendly and community-based. Left feeling very full and very happy!!!
