My husband and I took his 85yo father on a tour with a full load of passengers of all ages. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Our captain was informative and funny and engaged beautifully with all the kids who got to toot the horn twice as we passed under each bridge! We booked directly and found all staff great to deal with.
Was a beautiful relaxing ride down the river er and to see sights and learn about the heritage
Unfortunately the boat was overheating non stop and emitting a high pitched screaming noise continually which gave me a very bad headache. I know it couldn’t be helped and the skipper was very apologetic but that made it difficult to enjoy or give a higher appraisal. It was not at all enjoyable.
Lovely experience and wonderful guide. A little bit of a walk for those with mobility issues: you can’t be dropped off right at the wharf. Definitely worth it but leave some extra time.
The captain was a hoot. Knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Worth the price and time.

I had a great trip on the Popeye, a great taste of Adelaide from the River Torrens. The skipper was very knowledgeable and friendly, especially letting the little kids (and some big ones) push the button for the horn. To top it off Adelaide put on a sparkling morning for it as well.
Our first visit to Adelaide and we chose a river cruise as a way of getting to know this beautiful city. It was a cold, rainy day but we were comfortable and dry on board Popeye. The commentary was fun and informative with lovely views along the way. This is an excellent activity for visitors, the only downside being the amount of rubbish which had accumulated in parts of the river 😢
The tour itself was great but the river was dirty and not full enough to do the normal route.
