Great ratio of visitors to guides (9 to 1 in our case). Our guide, Capt Kelly was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the region, and the community on Defuskie. Presented the information in a very easy to understand and fair manner. Lots of interesting and personal experiences.
It was excellent. The boat captain knew his history knew his boat knew the area. He was an absolute delight. And he was fun. I would highly recommend this tour.
Captain Kellie was the best, very informative, good sense of humor too. He gave a lot of history on boat ride there. Enjoyed watching the dolphins play. On the island, again, he was a wealth of knowledge.
We boarded a Boston Whaler for the trip to the Island - about 1/3 the way there, the clouds were black and we turned back to the harbor. We were all soaked and it continued to rain. My disappointment is they offered to rebook or a refund. When we asked for a refund it was 70% - so we lost $81 for the two of us. Everyone else on our boat also took a refund.

We had such a wonderful time on our Daufuskie Island tour with Captain Andy Kennedy! It was a fantastic way to experience the island, and Captain Kennedy made the day especially enjoyable with his knowledge, stories, and enthusiasm. We learned so much about the island’s history and got to see so many beautiful and interesting places. It was a memorable experience from beginning to end and I would highly recommend this tour!

I had never been to Daufuskie and wanted an all inclusive experience so I could just relax. Pickup was a a convenient location as we were staying near Shelter Cove. Boo was a great guide and shred tons of interesting information.
Excellent tour of the island with several stops at historical sites. Guide was excellent… well versed in the island’s history. The church building was impressive as well as the Gullah history. The boat ride is about an hour… along the way we spotted several pods of dolphins. Definitely put this on your to do list!
