We had a different tour guide for the Academia Gallery and the Uffizi Gallery. The first guide to the Accademia was FABULOUS! She was very informative and knowledgeable. For some reason, we were pulled out of that group when we arrived at the Uffizi Gallery. We were told there could be only 8 people in the group and we had 12 in our group. BUT, when we got into the next group, there were 11 people there. We were very disappointed; not only did we not understand why we had to leave the group we were with, we were also not impressed with the guide for the Uffizi Gallery. It was unfortunate that the beginning of such a great experience ended with a less than wonderful encounter....

Our tour guide was the best! Very knowledgeable about so many things in the museum. Would highly recommend our guide and the tour.

We had Lara as our guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the art works, and helped us to make sense of the galleries and the exhibitions. Lara was helpful and enthusiastic, and was very patient with a person with mobility issues. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you can get Lara as your guide.

Wish I could leave 2 reviews…one for the company (2 stars) and one for our tour guide (5 stars). First of all, be aware that when you book this tour, you will not be able to download an actual ticket. The paper ticket will be given to you when you meet the tour representative. BEWARE THAT GOOGLE MAPS GIVE THE INCORRECT MEETING LOCATION. Apple Maps will give you the correct location, however. We were 1 of 3 groups gathered at the wrong location because of the confusion. The contact phone number given on the instructions is not a working number. Two of us waiting tried the number in vain. Luckily someone’s instructions noted in parentheses that the meeting location was in front of the Accademia. By the time we figured it out, we all ran about 2 blocks up the street to meet the tour representative. He seemed annoyed we were late. We were the only group booked for the guided tour. We had 2 adults and 3 children on the group. The tour representative then asked for photo ID for the children to prove their ages. Nowhere in the instructions does it mention bringing ID. When I mentioned this fact, he then went on some rant about how we agreed to the “conditions blah blah blah.” Luckily my oldest son had his driver’s license on him, so it worked out. When we got our tickets, it turned out the adults and kids had different entry times. Luckily the 2 times overlapped. I can envision a scenario when the times would not have overlapped and it could’ve been a problem. After the tour at the Accademia, we met the rep again at the Uffizi. Once again he gave us 2 sets of tickets with different entry times but again we were fortunate it worked out. Our tour guide Larisa was great. Because we were late we had to rush the tour a bit to get to our afternoon plans, and she did the best she could to squeeze in as much as she could in our limited time. She was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the art, its history and significance. Overall good experience on the tour. Instructions could’ve been better and the tour rep could’ve been more professional.

The guide was very enthusiastic and good with her delivery....we got lucky as we were only two people so got all the attention However , I will say..the cost was a tad bit high considering off season and in comparison to other platforms

This is a very recommended experience, our tour guide are more than wonderful and we really really enjoy both gallery tour.

It was our first time in Florence and the tour was very insightful. Our tour leader was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. Highly recommended to anyone who is considering this tour!! The length and speed of the tour was just right.

My husband and I went on the Combo skip the line Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery tour. The guides, a mother daughter team, skillfully navigated the crowds and took us to the highlights. Our time in Florence was limited so I am glad we did not have to wait in the long lines at the museums. We were whisked through and directly to the most popular pieces of art instead of wasting time searching on our own. Along the way we learned history about the museums and the art. An excellent tour!

This was a good tour. In The Accademia the tour only focused on The David, which was fine with us. Not sure if this is how other guides do this tour but it worked for us. The Accademia was amazing- exactly what we wanted to see and such amazing detail. We loved our Accademia tour guide, she was very knowledge and fun! Thank you!

Our 17-year old daughter went on this guided tour which she found informative and enjoyable. The tour was very good value for money. The organisers were very frendly and helpful. They quietly resolved an issue over our daughter's ticket to the Accademia. We would certainly use Destination Europe again when we re-visit Florence.
