Fantastic experience with Mr Davis. We left early at bam from the hotel and arrived at the ticket office among the first people. I travelled alone and was among the first persons walking the wall. Can highly recommend others!
A great day with James at the Great Wall. James was s good driver, a nice Mercedes vehicle, knowledgeable guide but not pushy.
I booked the trip for my son and couldn’t have had a better experience. The online booking was straightforward, and when I selected the wrong pickup point, it was dealt with quickly and easily. The communication was smooth, and their response was fast. I didn’t join the tour with my son, but after speaking with Jerry, I had absolutely no worries. He was very friendly, thoughtful, and put me at ease. He made sure my son was well looked after and kept me informed throughout the journey. He even went on the wall with my son and took photos for him. Thank you so much, Jerry!

We are so glad we booked a private driver for the Great Wall. Kevin did an amazing job getting us to the right location to start our walk (not an easy task on a very busy Monday). He shared interesting facts about the wall, scheduled a last minute cable car ride down for us, and made reservations for a fabulous Peking duck meal upon our return to Beijing. We would happily work with Kevin again.
We had a great day trip to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. James was very friendly and informative and gave us good tips about our trip. The section of wall at Mutianyu is very good - lots of variety of elevation and very scenic. You can only walk East to the Dajiaolou watchtower - beyond this it is overgrown and unrestored. The view back from there is worth the climb. Don’t queue for the toboggan ride if it rains heavily - there was a short heavy shower and we wasted 1.5 hours queuing only to find out they had closed it due to rainwater on the track. We took the cable car back down in the end. We had a nice lunch with James and he showed us a good shopping centre on the way back to our hotel. Thank you James for a great day out.
We're very happy about that amazing day with James! He gave us all the information we needed, taught us about his culture, helped us with the tickets and all the way to the cable car and we asked him to stop to buy some fruits which he kindly did. He was very thoughtful, really excellent!
