I wasn't feeling well and asked for a shorter tour. We thus skipped the beach and visited the Fort Museum. Was surprised that the entrance tickets for the Museum was NOT included in the tour.

Quite disappointed by this visit, planned and paid for an SUV, when we discover that the provider sends us a lower category vehicle without apology. Quick visit to a temple, the Church of St. Mary of Fort St. George and the Church of St. Thomas.

Fascinating tour, excellent guide Swetha spoke brilliant English and was very flexible and accommodating. We asked to switch the itinerary a bit, and it was not a problem.

Gopal was an excellent guide for our half-day tour of Chennai. I truly appreciated his detailed explanations about the city, its temples, and churches, which brought the history and culture to life in a very engaging way. The trip was extremely well-rounded, and I especially loved how flexible and attentive he was in accommodating our special requests, additional stops, and our need to finish at a specific time.

Poor experience visiting Chennai. It was all very fast with just three stops and the rest of the tour driving. I couldn't appreciate and enjoy the great British colonial buildings. I am sorry but I didn't enjoy it and I don't recommend it. This is the second tour with Yo Travel Goa company and both have been disappointing. Genaro, Spain.

Booked this tour through Viator. Tour due to start from hotel 9am. 9:40 driver arrived, no guide! Meet guide at temple, no guide. 20 minutes of sitting in car at side of busy road. Still no guide. Now getting on for 10:30. Decided we'd had enough and asked driver to return us to hotel. After 4 or 5 emails giving all information we were given back half cost!! You will see how much tour is and we realised too late that is was very over priced. Our hotel did same tour for INR 24000.

This is a great option to see Chennai. Pick up and drop off from hotel was very easy. Guide confirmed ahead of time. He was extremely knowledgeable and happy to share the history of the area.

The guide did not turn up at 9am as agreed. By 9:20am staff at the hotel was asking if we had a problem. Staff tried to contact guide but no reply. Tried again later and guide said driver was at hotel, he wasn’t! He did arrive by 9:40am but no guide. Meet guide at first temple. We arrived at temple about 10am but no guide. He will be 10 minutes. After 20 minutes no guide. We had been parked at the side of a very busy road and we had had enough. Asked to be taken back to the hotel. We had been kept waiting, driving, sitting in car for an hour and a half. I have requested refund and after numerous email have been offered half which is INR 3335.00. This was an expensive trip for 2 people. Instead we took hotel trip via concierge which only cost INR 2400.00. Be warned your hotel might be your best bet!!

This was the most disasterous tour I have ever been on! Don’t even think to book it. We were supposed to be picked up by English speaking guide at 9am. Eventually at 9:40am a taxi arrived but no guide. We travelled to one of the city temples to me the guide but he still hadn’t shown up after 20minutes and wanted us to stay sitting in the car by the side of a bush road until he showed up. I’m afraid we had had enough by now and asked the driver, who was not happy either, to take us back to the hotel. I contacted the company for a refund but eventually they said that they had reviewed the situation and we were not entitled to a refund!! No explanation as to why they had come to this conclusion. I did ask but have not heard from them since. The most depressing part of this is that we booked through Viator who have been very good in the past.

Gopal was at the hotel on time. Contacting them via WhatsApp beforehand was also easy. Somehow I got to see everything from Chennai, but somehow it felt a bit unreal in 2 hours. In hindsight, I have to say, with better time management, I could have gone to the big train station (which was rejected!) and enjoyed a little longer everywhere - even on the beach for me. But that was not what mattered to the team of driver and guide. I think they wanted to get it done quickly! It's not a bad course, 77 € for 2 hours of work plus 6 € tip! My hourly wages are lower!
