The Versailles bike tour exceeded our expectations. The guide Marley was knowledgeable and fun. She gave the historical facts in an accessible and thought provoking way. Her insights and tips as we rode round the Palace and gardens were invaluable. We would highly recommend this tour.
As nearly everyone mentions, Marley is a fantastic guide and shares history that I hadn’t heard before. This is the perfect day for those who want to leave all the planning and logistics to someone else and just enjoy themselves in a gorgeous setting. The bike portion lets you explore so much more than just the average trip to Versailles and the market is just fantastic.
This was the second tour we took with Bike About Tours, and second with Marley, and we absolutely loved it!!! Really felt like we got to see and learn so much more about Versailles than if we went on our own. This tour had the perfect mix of exploring on bike and by foot, and we truly had an unforgettable experience. Marley makes everything so fun and is so knowledgeable, plus always gives the best recommendations for how to explore Paris after the tour. Even with the rain, we had a perfect day at Versailles. Also highly recommend the taste of Paris Tour if you want to revolutionize how you eat even after you leave Paris! We hope for the opportunity to come back again one day to try another tour with Bike About Tours :)
Would of preferred to explore more all things not just certain art pieces and about the art over history So for me a guide isn’t the way to see the louve

Wonderful way to experience the beautiful grounds of Versailles. Our guide Marley was personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed spending more time outside at the farmers market and gardens but people should know that you are on your own for palace. There is no guided tour inside (which was fine with us). Great day for our family.
We had a wonderful day with Marly on our bike trip in Versailles. She was funny, friendly and super knowledgable. The garden picnic was a huge highlight for me. Highly recommend this tour.
Had a lovely day cycling Versailles and hearing the history. It was peak season so the palace was crowded but the grounds and gardens were fine. It was exceptionally hot so possibly cutting out some of the extra areas we had to walk to would have been better. Oh, and going to the market was great fun and possibly could have been extended.
The tour was really very nice. Marley was able to share many historical facts. She presented them in an interesting and fun way. Because of the bike tour, it was a good combination of an excursion and sightseeing. The paths were also pleasantly entertaining because of that. We had a lot of fun and would recommend the tour at any time! In my opinion, however, the meeting point could have been better at Montparnasse station. The route was unnecessarily far and long because of the café. Furthermore, the brakes on the bikes should be checked sometime. They were very weak. All in all, however, a super tour!
Lot of walking in addition to the riding - not enough time left to tour the palace and the grounds around it
