聖クレア大聖堂はアッシジの聖クレア、アッシジの聖フランシスコの信奉者、そして今日では聖クレアの勲章として知られている貧しい女の命令の創設者に捧げられた教会です。
1615年に聖フランシスの家であると信じられている建物の遺跡の上に建てられました。建物の建築デザインはルネッサンス時代のものです。レンガで造られたファサードは、屋根裏の切妻でドーリックの刺繍を支える4本の柱に分かれており、その上に半球ドームが浮かび上がっています。
印象的なロッカ マッジョーレが支配する古代ローマのフォーラムが立っていた場所に位置する長方形の広場は、コルソ マッツィーニの終わりから始まり、サンタ キアラ大聖堂につながっています。すぐ右側には、1762 年にジョヴァンニ マルティヌッチによって再訪された 16 世紀の「3 頭のライオンの噴水」があります。
ミネルヴァ神殿は古代ローマの建物です。現在は1539年に建てられ、17世紀にバロック様式で改装された教会、Santa Maria sopra Minervaがあります。 寺院は1世紀にGnaeus CaesiusとTitus Caesius Priscusの意志によって建てられました。
アッシジの聖フランシスコ大聖堂は、アッシジの聖カトリック教会の修道院小修道院の中心教会で、聖フランシスコが生まれ、そして亡くなったイタリア中部のウンブリア地方の町です。
この明るく広々としたバシリカは、十字と葉のパターンで囲まれた十字型の天井の天井、トランセプト、多角形のアプスで構成されています。 4つのリブのある金庫室は青い背景と絵画の金色の星で交互に装飾されています。

Our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed spending the time with her. It was, as advertised, a small group - just our family - which allowed for a lot of interaction. Lots of people, especially at the basilica, but an enjoyable experience.

Michele was a wonderful guide full of knowledge of Assisi and the surrounding Umbrian region. He customised the tour to our preferences given it was just my family of 4 attending.
