We had an incredible tour of Little Africa with Ernesto! As a tourism student at UNIRIO and an Afrotourism specialist, he is incredibly knowledgeable. He gave us deep insights into how Africans built vibrant communities through resistance and innovation. I left with a whole new appreciation for the significance of Afro-Brazilian culture. I had an amazing time during the Afro-Brazilian tour! Our tour guide, Raphael, was very knowledgeable about the history of Brazil and its strong African connection. He answered all of the questions that my two teenagers and myself asked. The experience was definitely not what I expected, it was better than I expected! I highly recommend this tour!

I've been to Rio before, but I've never heard these stories. It was revealing to learn about the city’s African-Brazilian roots. The parades were fascinating and the guide Luiz was super passionate and respectful. A really important experience.
