Our guide Frano was incredible! He was very knowledgeable about all things. He gave us great history lessons along the way from Split to Dubrovnik and all the towns in between. He made it an adventure and very easy to listen to. Our driver Ivan was very good as well. We felt safe throughout our trip with him navigating the countryside.

Not to be forgotten: more than 6 hours in a minibus with about twenty people. Knees in your back, people arguing, mini seats, a driver who drives too fast. Dubrovnik: a must-see, magnificent, but I do not think that this proposed activity is the best if you want to take your time and really visit the city, the museums, and the walls (which are not included in the activity, by the way). The guide was friendly, but the time given to stay in the city is too minimal compared to the time spent on the bus. In our opinion, this activity is not at all worth the €80/person that we paid, far from it.

Fantastic trip Laura our guild was so informative and kind and helpful our driver was kind was lots to see and enough time to do it in.

Franc and Igor did an excellent job. Everything was timely. Those that love history will learn a lot. It was great doing the brief 45 minute tour of Dubrovnik giving us an overview of the area before having plenty of time on our own. The van was comfortable.

Do not travel as a small group as the seats on the bus we were in were so cramped that we couldn’t even stretch our legs for 3.5 hrs. Plus there was no wifi. Both of these were non issues on a larger bus on a different tour. The guide and the driver and the rest of the tour was fine.

We speak Spanish and we were unable to get an excursion in our language from Argentina. It was not available. So we took it in English, but it was very difficult to fully understand the guide, who was undoubtedly excellent. I do not recommend taking this excursion from Split; the trip is long. The place is incredible. You shouldn't miss it.

The pluses: Our tour guide Piotr was very knowledgeable and gave us a spoken guided tour of the city on arrival (via handily provided headsets). It was also useful being added to a WhatsApp group so we could keep in touch, ask questions if needed etc. Piotr was also on hand on the return bus journey and happy to answer further questions etc - we had a good chat with him. Piotr also had an amusing and entertaining manner! Of course there was Dubrovnik itself which is a beautiful and fascinating city. After the tour we had free time to do what we wanted - we choose to use most of this walking round the old city walls - both these and the city itself are amazingly well preserved and the views from up there are stunning. Definitely recommended! The downers: the trip had a very early start (meeting at 6.45am, leaving at 7am) which was totally understandable given the distance and travel time to Dubrovnik from Split. However due to this fact and the walking tour which occurred on immediate arrival (which wrapped up until around 12pm), there was no scheduled stop for a snack or coffee. This meant that we were pretty hungry and in need of refreshment by that point - leaving so early meant we were unable to have breakfast at the hotel where we stayed. I should also add that the temperature was around 35 degrees on this particular day. All of which made us feel even more exhausted! If some kind if refreshment stop had been factored in I think this would have helped. Overall though, a great opportunity to explore Dubrovnik and an enjoyable day out.
