The team at BH Lanka and our Driver Guide Suranga made the trip an absolute dream. From our pick up with orchids in Colombo throughout Central and South East Sri Lanka was well organised and adapted before arrival and in the trip to suit our group. 2 adults in 40s and our mothers in their 70s. From finding delicious lunches and recommending different activities we could not have had a better time. I highly recommend BH Lanka and Suranga to anyone planning a visit. Nishantha Rathnayaka was an exceptional tour guide who made our 12-day journey through Sri Lanka truly unforgettable. From the very beginning, he was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing rich insights about the country’s history, culture, and hidden gems that we would have never discovered on our own. What stood out the most was his flexibility and accommodating nature. He always adapted the itinerary to suit our interests and pace, making sure we felt comfortable and never rushed. Whether it was adjusting plans last minute or recommending great local spots, Nishan handled everything with ease and professionalism. His friendly personality and genuine care made us feel more like we were traveling with a friend than a guide. My wife and I have had an absolute blast travelling around SriLanka. We saw so many incredible sites and encountered a vast spectrum of amazing experiences. From the moment that we met our guide (Hishantha), we felt like we were VIP’s. Hishantha was very knowledgeable and could speak on any topic. I’m pretty sure that we were very lucky to have been assigned this gem of a man. By the time our tour was over, we felt that we had been lucky enough to enjoy our tour with a friend rather than a guide. I commend Hishantha and his team to anyone that is contemplating a visit to SriLanka. I also would as that the communication from the get go with BH Lanka Tours was first class and timely. Bravo 10/10.

Amazing must do trip . Our tour guide Camillas was amazing . He made sure we had lots of fun and adventures. We had great food saw some really cool elephants birds and lizards . Food was outstanding .

We had an amazing time from climbing sirigiya rock to cycling through polonnaruwa and watching the elephants in the safari, it was all we could dream of and more. Our guide Camilas was courteous and very professional. Although we were moving from location to location and hotel to hotel, I couldn't dream of a better way to experience the highlights that sri lanka has to offer.

Booked via Tour Radar, about 2 months before, and a month before the cyclone hit Sri Lanka. BH. Tours assured us it was fine to continue, and it was. There was still some evidence of landslides being cleared in the Hill Country, but nothing that stopped us being where we needed to go - and we joined the train 3 stops further on, so didn’t miss too much - we were seated on the right in first class which was the mountainside, but did manage to sit on the left for a little while to see more of the views. BH had arranged the hotels but our guide / driver Aruna Dasanayake arranged everything else for us along the way, and couldn’t have been more helpful, offering suggestions for coffee stops/lunch/ changes etc as required. We booked this as a tour expecting others, but were delighted to find it was a private driver and car just for us. We felt very safe all along the trip with Aruna, and he kindly helped us with an accidental overcharge from one of the hotels. Some of the hotels were better than others eg Lyndon Grove was probably the best for food and accommodation, but the 2am brick delivery outside our window to the construction site next door was unfortunate. We did get bored with the international buffet (and would rather have just had an option to choose a main) - but we were very grateful not to have to leave the hotel to search for food. Overall, and especially for Aruna, I still give 5 stars …

Hishantha and Keerthi were our tour guide and driver respectively. They were professional, courteous and extremely flexible when we needed to tweak the itinerary. Hishantha was knowledgeable on the various locations, and Keerthi was a very safe driver who cleaned the van interior daily making for a pleasant travel environment. The tour itself covered a lot of ground, allowing us a good overview over those parts of the country and giving us a good sense of where we might like to explore in depth on a later visit. This necessarily meant that there was not a whole lot of time for pure relaxation and to make the fullest use of the various hotels we stayed at. Ancient sites, culture, hill country, wildlife safaris and beaches - five major aspects of Sri Lanka - were all included in the itinerary. The hotel quality was generally decent, although some stood out more than others. We found hotel staff in general very accommodating to our specific needs, such as special food when some in our party had stomach issues, or getting a bunch of clothes laundered overnight. Overall I would recommend this tour for first time visitors who want a broad taste (including plenty of Sri Lankan food options such as “game kema” and seafood) of this beautiful island nation.
