Alci did a great job. The tour was amazing!!
The tour guide Alex was wonderful…..the van was clean and comfortable…:he kept everyone informed..he arrived on time to pick me up…the day was amazing and went smoothly and he helped me and others with any questions or concerns.
Informative and fun. We enjoyed ourselves, our guide was friendly and even had a surprise for my friend as it was her birthday! The hike to the waterfall was slippery and will test your balance, still a beautiful experience
The tour was exceptional. The guide, Alex was knowledgeable and put us at ease. I learned a lot about the indigenous people and their community. Very enjoyable
This was my second time doing this tour. Due to weather conditions, my first time was better. Because of the water level, we had about a mile hike to the waterfall. I was not expecting this because the first time I went, we had no hike at all. So my guest who just had knee surgery was unable to see the waterfall. I took the hike, which was mostly in mud and had a bad fall. A few others slipped too. I think there should be a warning by the tour leader when due to weather conditions, hikes may be challenging and dangerous. Thankfully, my head didn’t hit the rock I slipped on and I was OK. The waterfall was beautiful. The visit to the Embera Village was nice also. The first time I visited, we had chicken and fish for lunch. This time, we only had fish. So I think the menus vary from place to place. The food was delicious. The dancing was entertaining and I love how we were invited to get up and dance with the people. Bring money, because their crafts are beautiful! However, I believe there is a mixture of original hand made crafts and China imported crafts. Because I saw a necklace that you can buy on temu for $4 and they wanted $25. Which $25 is ok if you know it was really handmade, but some of the jewelry was still on the packaging sent from China! So overall, I highly recommend this tour. Just ask questions on the day of the tour about the conditions of the hike to the waterfall, and if there will even be a hike. Either way, you won’t be disappointed. You will enjoy the tour even if you choose not to see the waterfall.
A day well spent while in Panama. Alci picked up at the hotel on time. He was patient in assisting us navigate the muddy terrain. It’s been raining daily so it was very slippery and muddy during our hike but it was worth it when we got to the waterfalls. The Embera community was amazing. They were very welcoming and friendly. This is a good tour, it’s a combination of nature and cultural connection.
Great adventure but walking to the waterfalls would be better for younger people or those who dont have any challenges walking over sharp rocks and deep mud. Unfortunately my mother was unable to see the waterfall, but we loved the indigenous tribe encounters. Are driver Alex was a great host and we met a tribemans by the name Franklin who was also helpful and great to interact with.
A fantastic experience. Swimming in the waterfall, traveling up River and ending in wonderful Embera Village was so awesome. The natives we’re so kind! Loved their dances and how they explained their culture. The kids we’re so cute! Our guide was awesome! Will definitely do it again!
