I thought the Vancouver aquarium was quite nice. Significant variety of sea life to see and experience. The sea lions were exceptional. It was easy to navigate and get around. Very clean. Overall good experience grandkids would love it.

Lots of variety and some really cool exhibits. The space is well maintained and clean, both for people and the animals. More than just fish, it also had a reptile area, otters, sea lions, seals, jellyfish and more. There’s 2 gift shops (one halfway through) which is clever and fun (the one at the end has all the same things though so you won’t miss out if you wait). The food available was also very good. It’s very pricey to get in, but they are also a rescue organization so the cost goes towards that. I would hesitate to recommend this at this price point, to people who don’t really love marine life, but it was a really cool way to spend a couple hours.

The tickets were like 50 CAD each and the place is pretty small. Having said that - it was still pretty amazing. We spent 3 hours EASILY there. The food was afordable and yummy. HOWEVER, they close the front gates at 4p, but close at 5p. So if you go into the gift shop you HAVE TO EXIT outside and then you cant go back inside - that sucked!

Lots of great exhibits and the sealing show was super fun! Me and my wife had a great time it was our last stop before leaving Vancouver.

Small, little aquarium, good for kids and family 2-4 hour adventure easy to navigate with wheelchair.

Terrible! The traffic and parking is so utterly atrocious we spent 30 minutes driving all around the aquarium, along with several dozen others, I eventually decided it isn't worth it and we left to go enjoy the other activities we had planned that day. Absolutely do not recommend. Why sell hundreds of tickets if you only have a miniscule amount of parking?

The aquarium is smaller than we anticipated. Therefore we allotted more time than necessary for our visit. Not a bad thing, gave us additional time to add stops during our stay.

We got to the aquarium when it opened to the general public at 10 and we were surprised that we spent 5 hours here. We planned most of our visit around the feeding schedules because the presenters will provide information on the animals and it is worth getting to some a bit earlier to actually get a view (sea otters and sea lions specifically). In between feedings we checked out the many exhibits here, tried touch lab, and the sea lion 4D movie. There are a lot of animals here so it is worthwhile to take a photo of the map and make sure you get to all areas - the sloths and axolotls are easy to miss. After presentations you can hang around and talk with staff about the animals and they are very knowledgeable especially if they are presenting an item or a feeding. There is signage throughout the aquarium and we found ourselves reading and learning a lot during our visit. When we visited the ticket price at the door was 53.76 per adult. You can also book tickets online and if you are going as a trio you may want to consider getting a platinum membership which gives two guest tickets and unlimited access. You may also want to consider a membership if you really enjoy the aquarium and live in the area. They have lockers for members but you can rent one if you bring a loonie. You can leave and come back in most days but make sure you get a stamp on your hand from staff. The aquarium got pretty busy towards the middle of the day but we found some exhibit areas do not get too busy. We also found despite the crowds it was pretty easy to get food and we enjoyed the fish and chips. The aquarium promotes Oceanwise seafood and we did not realize that this concept originally came from the Vancouver Aquarium. There are quite a few picnic tables outside too and you are able to bring in outside food. We parked in the parking lot by the aquarium and did a full day parking pass for $17. The Vancouver Aquarium is in Stanley Park and we spent a few more hours after visiting the Aquarium going around Stanley Park and parking in different areas to see certain points of interest, landmarks and viewpoints. Several friends recommended the aquarium and we would highly recommend it to family and friends in the future.
