We had the half day tour of Nimes, Pont du Gard and Uzes with Bridgette. First of all the tour was scheduled to start at 8:30am and it did not leave until 8:50. The tour itself was a disaster all around. The tour of Nimes was a 5 minute drive around followed by a drop off at the Amphitheater for 45 minutes - way too much time and very little background information. Uzes was beautiful but we couldn’t get onto the grounds of the Duke’s Castle and again we were rushed around the town with the tour guide babbling about insignificant facts. The Pont du Gard stop was interesting but again very little in the way of informative historical background. The guide had water for herself and none for us. She prattled in incessantly in bad English, (with no microphone) and again with little in the way of content. She also complained of her cold coughing constantly all morning in the van. This was not a tour we would recommend.

We wasted 20 minutes trying to understand the guide’s directions for first meet-up point in Nîmes. Hurried to Uzes. A too-quick tour there. Didn’t see much of this supposedly lovely medieval village. Hurry to the Aqueduct. Short time there. Hurry back. Strong accent made guide hard to understand.

This tour includes a lot of travel time and not a lot of time in each location. Also our guide didn’t walk with us when we visited the locations and she was hard to understand so we really didn’t have much explanation. That being said, I am glad for a driver and seeing each location.

The tour was a very nice easy pace. Enough time to look at everything without being rushed. The guide was knowledgeable and personable.

A great tour with Roberto - who was a great guide and kept us informed with all we needed to know. Just the right amount of time in each place and great stops.

This tour was very disappointing, not because of the places we visited but because of the "guide" Robert. Robert acted as a driver not a guide. Shortly after getting into the van the guests had questions for Robert regarding what we were seeing. He said he could not answer the questions as the AC was too loud. And he did not have a voice amplifier, so we received very little information during the long drive. Our first stop was in Nimes across from the arena. Robert gave us our tickets and said he would meet us back there in 1 hour. We only drove by the square house so we did not get to really see it as the tour description says. Our ticket at the arena did include a tour we could listen to with our phones - if you have a phone with data service. The second stop was in the town of Uzes. Robert dropped us just outside the town. He allowed us to take a photo of a small paper map of the town and sent us on our way. We had about 35 minutes in the town - not 1 hour. And without a guide. One of our couples got lost but luckily made it back in time. The last stop was at the Pont-du-Gard. Robert walked us to a map of the area gave us a 5 minute description and instructions. He said he would meet us on the other side of the river. We had about 45 minutes to explore the area. I do not recommend this tour as we were mostly on our own and did not learn about what we were seeing. Before you book a tour like this make sure you will have an experienced, knowledgable, licensed guide.

Very interesting tour of historic sites and beautiful landscapes. Super recommend! Not to mention our guide Nico, very friendly, dear and well-humored who knows everything about the history of the places visited. Thank you and congratulations!

Research places visiting. Could have done with the driver taking us around all places and explaining things

This was a disappointing tour. It was more like a transportation service than a guided experience. Our driver merely took us between spots with just a bit of commentary in between. Anyone sitting behind the driver could not hear him. When we asked him to speak more loudly, he said the air conditioning prevented him from being heard. This could have easily been addressed with a small microphone. Overall, he did not seem to be a trained tour guide, and showed little interest in being one. We conferred with the others in our van who felt the same way.

Some patience is needed due to high traffic in Nimes! Our guide Celine was a great driver and navigated the roads well!
