Viator gave clear instructions as to where to meet up for the tour. They sent e-mail reminders, too. Our guide Marti was very informative, giving us wonderful commentary about the local area as we travelled to our destination. Our time-slot for entry to the Tower of Pisa was perfect. There was just time to do a little bit of sightseeing but as we had to be back on the coach within three hours and the walk to and from the coach took around 20 minutes there was no time to stop for lunch or shop for souvenirs. We managed to grab a coffee but it was all a bit of a rush. With hindsight I would book a longer trip. Otherwise, it all went to plan.

A very well organised tour. It was totally as described and the tour company guides were clearly identified at the cruise terminal. Our guide was very informative and interesting but did not overdo thr level of information. The green flag on the long pole was perfect for picking her out in the clouds at Pisa

Great day in Pisa! The coach bus was clean and comfortable with an excellent driver. Our tour guide Martine was excellent and funny! We had plenty of time on our own to walk around Pisa, shop and have a delicious lunch!

Initially there was some confusion regarding the tour size. Wr signed up for a small group up to 15 people. We were combined with another tour and ended up in a big bus. While we were driving she explained a lot of things and we got dropped of at Pisa with another guide who walked us into the city center. From there on we were on our own. At the end it was a comfortable ride and we got what we payed for. We walked up the tower of pisa, explored the area and got back in time on the ship. It wasn't a super personal tour but we saw what we wanted to see.

Transportation was good but not the best information. Pisa was so crowded & we were expected to find our (complicated) way back to the bus. Walking part of tour was hard to hear b/c no earpiece & guide was young & not the best.

This transfer was very well coordinated when coming off the cruise ship. Excellent tour guide and driver.

You get dropped off without thorough instructions of what is expected and what to do. Got nothing out of the tour.

Firstly, the booking experience is very smooth, which is reassuring, and the instructions are accurate, as it is easy to find your guide at the meeting point. Our excellent driver was Andrea, and our guide was Kiyko, a real character who speaks several languages and is a musician on the side. Kiyko knows his stuff, as you would expect, and made the coach journey interesting with the history of the region. We were slightly worried that our time to visit the leaning tower of Pisa was close to our return meeting time, but Kiyko gave us the option of taking the next coach back, which was helpful. In the end, the timings worked, and he even kept in touch with me via WhatsApp to make sure we were on schedule, which was reassuring. We highly recommend Viator, it is a lot cheaper than booking a tour with the cruise line, but just as efficient and enjoyable!

The time we were there was definitely enough to see everything. My husband even climbed up the steps inside the Leaning Tower. Lumi our guide, imparted information on the way out and back - a very friendly lady.
