Antonia is such a good storyteller. I really enjoyed the story of the greek gods - to understand more the mindset of the ancient greek. Beautiful route and she add information on Dionysius Aeropagitus, if you know, you know. Thank you again Antonia :)

Our tour guide Vasilea is an excellent story teller. We had a wonderful time listening to her talk about the Greek myths as we walked around the Acropolis.

Anzhelika was an amazing guide. She was knowledgeable, engaging and very attentive to all the families and kids in attendance. The tour was broken into interesting portions with lots of history and mythology to keep everyone engaged and participating. Highly recommend.

We did three tours with Alternative Athens: Athens Street Art (Antigoni), Mythology Storytelling Walk (Elena and Vassilia) and Unexpected Athens Orientation Tour (Elizabeth). They were excellent! There's very little overlap across the tours -- even if you are in the same place, the information/stories are different -- so the tours are complementary rather than redundant. All our guides were knowledgeable and personable, but I have to give a special shout out to Vassilia, who was our storyteller on the Mythology tour. Vassilia didn't just tell the story, she acted it out in a one-woman show. We were absolutely mesmerized, and that walk is one of the highlights of our entire three-week trip.

Fantastic story telling! Easy access into areas- Helen worked hard to help us manage the crowds and she told such wonderful stories.

This tour was fun and educational. It has inspired me to learn more about Greek Mythology. Story-telling was done in shady areas along our walk through the oldest row and up past Acropolis.

We had a great guide Kimon Antonelos, certainly the best for a tour in French of the must-sees of Athens. He knew how to share his vast mythological and architectural knowledge in a particularly pleasant way. A real pleasure to explore these places in his company, with little stories about the Gods of Olympus, clear and precise explanations on the different sites. We wholeheartedly recommend this guide!
