We did the food tour the afternoon we arrived in Athens after a very early flight, it was a great way to start our Greek adventure. Simos was incredible, so knowledgeable, super friendly,, happy to answer any questions. We got to see a lot of Athens on foot and the way Simos explained made it all very easy/clear to grasp. The food was absolutely delicious and varied There was plenty of it so make sure you come hungry. I’d say it’s a must when in Athens Many thanks to Simos for a fabulous tour

We enjoyed our guide, and we felt the olive oil tasting was the standout part of the tour, and made up 10 of the tastings. The rest (5 other tastings) were mostly sweet, and were only ok. These were also served in completely the wrong order (sweet things first) which was particularly strange when on the 5.30 pm tour. I think there are so many wonderful Greek dishes that could have been chosen, including a wider variety of Baklava and more savoury vegetable dishes. Compared to other food tours it was a bit average. Sorry!
Katerina and this food tour was very informative, and we visited many places that we would not have went to otherwise! She blended the food with history and culture well. We especially enjoyed the Greek coffee and olive oil tasting!
Unfortunately, we felt rushed during this tour. It was our first time in Athens and would have loved to be able to look around and enjoy the city, but we were constantly rushing to keep up with our tour guide far ahead.. The food was good, but I would have preferred less sweets. Is gelato really an authentic greek food? The best part was the olive oil tasting. The ladies there really knew their stuff and were super friendly!

Our tour guide offered a fantastic insight into Greek food culture and local life. We sampled a wonderful variety of authentic foods, including delicious local delicacies, different types of olive oils, and excellent Greek wines. One of my favourite treats was the freshly made crisp doughnuts, which were absolutely amazing. Walking through the vibrant fish and meat markets was a unique experience, giving us the chance to see where locals shop and learn about traditional ingredients used in Greek cuisine. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Greek food and history, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens who wants to discover authentic Greek flavours beyond the typical tourist spots. Come hungry—you’ll leave with a greater appreciation for Greek cuisine and plenty of wonderful memories!
