雰囲気のあるグレンコーからリンヘ湖のほとりを進み、イギリスで一番高い山、ベン・ネビスの麓にあるハイランドの町フォート・ウィリアムへ。 足を伸ばして早めの昼食休憩をとれるようにここで停車し、その後グレンフィナン高架橋へ向かいます。
時間が許せば、ネプチューンの階段で写真を撮ります。階段水門はカレドニア運河の 8 つの水門で構成され、運河を 19 m (62 フィート) 上昇させます。これは 1800 年代初頭に建設され、英国で最も長い階段ロックです。
グレンフィンナン高架橋はハリーポッターの場面から最も有名になったもので、シール湖の見事な海岸の山々に囲まれている。 この場所はジャコバイト蒸気列車（ホグワーツ急行と混同しないように）で有名なだけでなく、シール湖は「黒い湖」の場所でもあった。 水面下でトラブルを起こしている「グラディロウ」を発見できるか試してみよう！ バックビークの美しい飛行の舞台でもあり、トライウィザード・トーナメントのシーンや、ホグワーツが座る見事な湖も見どころです。 高架橋を見学し、近くのグレンフィンナン記念塔を訪れる前に写真撮影を行います。この記念塔はスコットランドの歴史の中でも最も重要な出来事の1つ、1745年ジャコバイト蜂起の象徴です。 ご注意：ジャコバイト蒸気機関車は他社が運行しています。 ツアーと電車が同時に集合するとは限りません。
グレンフィンナンを出発し、エディンバラへの帰路に就き、壮大なケアンゴームス国立公園を通り、途中で立ち寄り、ピトロッホリーの小さな村*で軽食をとります。 グレンフィンナン、グレンコー、フォート・ウィリアム・アドベンチャーが終わるエディンバラに戻る前に、足をのばして軽く食事をする時間をお楽しみください。 *ピーク月はアトラクションやリフレッシュメントストップの混雑を避けるため、旅程が逆走する場合があります。 逆走時はピトロッホリーを通過しますが、休憩のため別の場所に停車します。

At 5’7” I don’t need much leg space, but their seats are packed in. Some stops are only 5-10 minutes long. Our lunch stop is rated on google as 1.7 stars and that’s generous, with no place else to walk to due to the time. Towards the end you stop in a nice town for fish and chips, ice cream, and a restroom break(chose one).The catch is we had 33 minutes to get it and be back on the bus and they will remind you tha they will leave you. 100% wasted day!
Brodie was amazing. We had a pretty tough crowd but he was able to make work with whats given. He kept us entertained WHILE driving the bus. Unreal. Cheers brodie!
Honestly, I came in with quite low expectations as I knew it would be a long ride on the bus and that we wouldn’t have much time at the stops since we were covering such long distances. While both of those things were true, I actually had a lot of fun on the tour! We had a fantastic guide Vix, who kept us entertained throughout the entire journey, sharing lots of fun facts, history, and even some language lessons! She was super funny and enthusiastic, and I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better guide. The journey through the Highlands is truly epic and a must-see while in Scotland. The views are out of this world. We had quite a few short 10-minute stops, two slightly longer lunch breaks (although you probably won’t have enough time for a proper meal, as the cafés get packed with other tourists and time is quite limited), and around 1.5 hours at the Glenfinnan Viaduct ( I absolutely loved it there, definitely worth the journey!). The bus was comfortable, and there were around 25 people in our group. We saw some much bigger buses along the way, and honestly, it looked like a much less enjoyable experience for obvious reasons. Overall, I personally really liked the tour, although I can understand that the pace and long hours on the bus might not be for everyone. You get to see lots of places, cover a huge amount of ground, learn some history and fun facts, and simply soak in the beauty of Scotland. It’s perfect if you’re short on time or don’t have a car. I’d definitely recommend this tour to others, especially if Vix is on board :)
Our guide (Vix) gave a lovely tour around the highlands with loads of information about scotland and its history. The experience with her was brilliant!!! She is extremely funny and kind ^^

We had a fantastic day on the Glencoe tour, and a big part of that was our driver and guide, Shafiq. He was friendly, professional and a very safe driver on the Highland roads, and he kept the whole day relaxed and well organised. His stories about Scottish history and the landscapes made the long drive fly by, and he always gave us enough time at each stop to take photos and enjoy the views. Glencoe itself was breathtaking, even more impressive in person. Coming from Costa Rica, it was incredible to see such a different kind of landscape. Highly recommend this tour, and especially recommend asking for Shafiq if you can. Thank you for a memorable day!
