Alessandro and Antonia did a great job keeping everyone safe. This is not a tour for beginners who have never been on a Vespa. It was frustrating having to go so slow because of the beginning level riders who were at risk of wrecking. The guides did the best they could to keep everyone safe which limited our ability to see the area.

We completely agree with you: this tour is absolutely NOT suitable for beginners. This is precisely why we make previous scooter or motorcycle riding experience a mandatory requirement, clearly stated in our tour description and repeatedly emphasized in our communications with guests, both before and after booking.
Unfortunately, despite our repeated warnings, some guests still book this experience without the necessary skills, perhaps underestimating the responsibility and risks involved in riding a motor vehicle on public roads. In other cases, one person books for an entire group without ensuring that every participant is fully aware of the requirements.
We cannot emphasize enough that riding a Vespa is not a game, and this experience is not a riding lesson.
From our side, we do everything reasonably possible to prevent these situations. We clearly communicate the requirements multiple times, and every driver must complete a test drive before departure so our guides can assess their ability to operate the vehicle safely. Those who cannot demonstrate sufficient riding skills are not permitted to drive.
What makes your review particularly surprising is that one of the participants in your own group did not pass the mandatory driving test and was therefore not permitted to drive. Instead, our guide had to accommodate this person as a passenger on his own Vespa to ensure they could still participate in the experience safely. This is a clear example of exactly the situation you are describing and demonstrates why we insist so strongly on previous riding experience.
We genuinely regret that the experience of more confident riders can sometimes be affected by participants who underestimate these requirements. Our guides must always prioritize everyone’s safety, even when this means adjusting the pace of the tour.
However, we would also like to clarify that the original itinerary was followed in full, with no stops, activities, or scheduled visits removed. While the riding pace may have been adjusted for safety reasons, all the planned experiences were delivered as advertised. Therefore, the slower pace did not result in any reduction of the itinerary or the services included in the tour.
It is particularly disappointing to receive this feedback when we invest so much effort in communicating these requirements and preventing exactly this type of situation, especially when the same issue occurred within your own group.
We truly appreciate your recognition of our guides’ professionalism and hope your review will also serve as an important reminder to future guests: please only book this experience if you already have genuine riding experience, and make sure everyone in your group meets the same requirements.

Beautiful scenery through the countryside
So much fun! Very organized, good communication, friendly staff. It helps to have balance and coordination to stay safe on the scooters.

Tons of fun with an awesome guide
Our guide Alexander was fantastic. He was patient, informative, succinct, and really welcoming. With his instruction we set off on vespas touring around fully enjoying this one of a kind experience.
I was a very novice scooter driver but was able to keep up and feel safe the whole time. I do recommend experience.
Alexander made sure we were always with him. And it was sad when the trip came to an end.
I highly recommend Tuscany on wheels as a great full day outing.

Book it!!
Fabulous day with Alessandro! He was such a great guide. Fantastic personality and made our trip so enjoyable. The stops were just right and the food and wine were awesome! Highly recommend this tour!!

Great Day on Wheels!
Alex was phenomenal! Could not have had a better guide. The country side is breath taking. Best way to enjoy the views and learn a bit about the history of the region. Winery was amazing. Loved the lunch and have wine shopping to our home!!

A delightful day of riding scooters in the countryside.
Alexander is by far the best guide ever. He is patient, very informative, succinct, and always willing to answer questions help with any problems and genuinely cares about the guests on his tour.
With little scooter experience I was able to easily answer safely join on this lovely excursion. I do recommend knowing how to ride a scooter or motorcycle. It will help greatly with the scenic windy hilly roads around Tuscany country side.
I’m very sad that the tour ended even though it was a full day of riding and seeing amazing views.
The winery was lovely to take a break at with just enough food and wine to satisfy us all.
I highly recommend Alexander and the vesper tour for a unique adventure and way to see the countryside.

Highlight of our trip to Italy
Everything was perfect. It was the highlight of our trip. The Vespa ride was fun and had breathtaking views of the vineyards and rolling countryside of Tuscany. Alessandro and Francesco were amazing.
We also utilized their shuttle service from Florence, where Valentina was wonderful and made it an informative ride.
We will be back next time for their horseback riding tour.

Great and safe idea to spend time in tuscany
We booked this trip with Alessandro. He picked us up from a designated place and we had a safe drive to area where we picked up our Vespa!!
The vespa drive was really safe and good. We had a great time and wonderful place we went for the lunch, wine and EVOO tastings.
