Such a great day visting frog dam reserve & kakadu. We were fortunate to have tourguide Rob again as we had him previously on another tour. His knowledge & commentry is second to none. Its a long day but so worth it. Hightly recommend autopia tours.
Tom was our guide for the day, and what a legend he was. Told us stories about the locations and the history and culture. He kept the tour on schedule, and was always polite and helpful. The jumping croc cruise was great, seen plenty of crocodile and hawks. Kakadu was excellent seeing the old rock art and just getting to see the natural landscape. Definitely recommend this tour, great day out. Thanks Tom.
What a great day exploring Kakadu! Felt super safe, comfortable and well looked after by Tour guide Dylan. Was a great atmosphere and easy to go alone. Dylan was full of so much knowledge I wouldn’t have otherwise found out. He talked over the microphone for most of the bus trip with funny stories and facts, making the drive feel fast and entertaining. We learnt lots of about birds, introduced spices, the landscape, crocodiles & the aboriginal art work on the rocks at Ubirr. Highly recommend if you want a stress free day exploring with a local full of lots to share about the area!
Measured by the number of sightseeing points visited, the bus travel time from Darwin and back is much too long. The tour guide was very competent and friendly.
We had a brilliant time on this tour! Aussie Tim was an amazing guide - so knowledgeable and funny and a really great driver. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The tour is quite long (about 13hrs all up) so keep that in mind when booking and pack snacks (you can buy food on the trip but it’s a bit $$$ out there) But we saw so much and learnt heaps - 100% recommend!
Tim is a walking encyclopaedia when it comes to Kakadu and the environment and super friendly to boot! A real asset to the tour operators! We absolutely loved our day out, perfect in every way!

Tim gave an excellent presentation. He is very earnest and responsible. He takes a proactive approach to resolving difficulties and stays calm‑headed under pressure. Great to have him on the team.

The guide was excellent: knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the area and its wildlife. One of the highlights of the tour was seeing many impressive crocodiles in their natural habitat. However, be aware that this tour involves a lot of time sitting on a bus. Also, "small group" means a small bus with very small seats. Even average-sized adults end up sitting very close to each other, which can become quite uncomfortable during the long drives. Overall, the guide and the crocodile sightings made the trip worthwhile, but the transportation and seating comfort could definitely be improved.
