That said, I’m truly sorry to read about the misunderstanding regarding a “driving tour of Rome.” From the title of your review (“Shared Transfer from Civitavecchia Pier to Rome Hotel or Airport”), it appears this was a shared transfer service, which is a direct transportation service (not a sightseeing tour). For this reason, I’m not sure why a tour was expected, and I’d really like to look into exactly what was shown on the listing and what was communicated at the time of booking. At the port, our drivers are **not authorized to walk up and down** outside the designated meeting area due to **security and port regulations**. For this reason, they are required to wait in the official pickup zone together with the other drivers (yes, the area where there can easily be 200 drivers holding signs at the same time). So I can properly check what happened, could you please tell me the **day of service** and your **booking number** (or booking name)? That will allow me to verify exactly what time the driver arrived and was in position. Also, please note that on the voucher we always include **two phone numbers** you can call in case of any emergency or if you can’t spot the driver right away — we can immediately coordinate and make the connection. Please feel free to email me directly at **daniele@driverinrome.com** with the details, and I will personally look into it. I’m truly sorry you couldn’t see your driver among so many signs. Unfortunately, with larger ships and more and more guests booking private services, the pickup area has become very crowded, and situations like this can happen — but we still want it to be smooth and stress-free for you, and I’d like to review your specific case.
