My wife Vikkie and I enjoyed this tour through Epic, especially as we had a solo tour in our own Epic tour car driven by our Guide Navin, who was excellent. Navin gave us plenty of information and answered all our questions along the tour, and was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the Temple visit, the beautiful, enchanting Garden of the Sleeping Giant and especially the very interesting Viseisei Village Tour, which had it's own entertaining guide. The market visit, part of the tour, was not so exciting. We also then booked Navin to take me to the Golf Course and us to the Nadi airport from the Crowne Plaza for our trip home. Nice 1/2 day visit
The tour itself is quite nice and easy day. Temple, market, gardens (beware of how much hiking you want to do) and a village visit. The temple is very pretty. The gardens were beautiful. The village visit was quite brief (not much to see). The driver was very accomodating.
The bad part of my rating is that it was all very disorganized, the basically forgot to pick me up. So there was an hour delay and WhatsApp calls and that started the day off off-balance.

They told me I had to pay double the price or they would cancel my tour
Do not book with Epic. I booked this tour for just myself about 3 weeks in advance. I was interested in booking some other tours through my hotel so the tour desk called Epic to ask if the tour date could be changed. Lina from Epic said she would check and call us back. She didn’t call us for quite a while so my hotel called again and they said yes they could change the date. The called back a few minutes later and said never mind, in fact, they were going to cancel my tour unless I paid double because they had a two person minimum. I spoke to Lina and said I had already paid and had a confirmation email. She said they weren’t going to pick up just one person. I asked why they give people the option to book for one person, but don’t accept it? She said they send out an email telling you about their policy the day before the tour. That is not enough notice. I decided to cancel the tour because I wasn’t going to pay double the price. They said I would receive a refund, so we’ll see how that goes. This is highly unprofessional. Fortunately this didn’t derail my plans that much but this could seriously screw up a strict itinerary. Overall, Epic Tours is unprofessional, not clear about their policies and do not communicate effectively at all. The fact I only heard about this because my hotel called about a different matter is ridiculous. Don’t waste your time, they’re are plenty of tours like this.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding your booking.
Our booking policy clearly states that the tour requires a minimum of 2 adults for the tour to operate, and that there is a possibility the tour may be cancelled if the minimum number is not met.
Your booking was made approximately three weeks in advance, and on 7 September, Gabby sent an email advising you that a minimum of 2 adults was required for the tour to operate. We did not receive a response to that email.
When the matter was raised with our team, Lina provided you with an option to still proceed with the tour by paying the additional cost required for the tour to operate with only one guest. This was offered as an alternative so that you could still enjoy the experience rather than having the tour cancelled.
We understand that you were disappointed with the situation. However, the minimum passenger requirement was included in our booking conditions and you were also contacted directly regarding this requirement prior to the tour date.
We are a professional tour operator and take our booking conditions, communication and customer service seriously. We regret that there was a misunderstanding regarding the minimum passenger requirement and appreciate your feedback.
As advised, the booking was cancelled and the refund will be processed accordingly.

You should go on this...
You should go on this tour if you:
(1) Want to be independent and self-direct your tour.
(2) Do not wish for tour guide commentary
(3) Want to be independent and see want to see Nadi with the tour company as transport.
The driver was friendly and patient when we went places. Car was clean and picked us up on time. We expected to have commentary and a guided tour, which we did not. We were disappointed not to learn more on our tour.

Bad
The whole trip was a shambles .temple was ok, the village a non event, you had to watch where you walk incase you stepped in dog dropping, the garden was the highlight. Then two thirds of the party pulled out and we took a taxi it was that badly organized.

Nadi half day highlights
Unfortunately this was not what we expected. No commentary from driver. Just ‘here is the temple’ ‘here is the village’. On top of this we couldn’t go in the temple because of some worship. Unfortunately a chief had recently died so we couldn’t go into the village either. The gardens were ok. The market was very small. The souvenir shop was just one shop quite selly! The driver I guess tried his best but we were put with another couple who booked the mud pools and we specifically chose a tour without this. As the driver was unable to take us back, we would have to go and wait at the mud pools adding at least another hour and a half to our trip so we took a taxi at extra cost. Very disappointed. We’ve done many tours over the years and this was probably the worst one. Sorry to have to say all this but at the end of the day we paid for something we feel we did not receive.

Hits the spot for local culture highlights.
Saten picked us up from our Airbnb. He arrived a few minutes early in a beautifully maintained vehicle including a safety seat for the baby. He is a good driver and very considerate to his customers to ensure that they have an enjoyable day. I recommend epic transfer and tours for your next visit to Fiji.

Nadi’s tour
I had such a great time discovering the beauty of Nadi and its marvellous sleeping geant garden. The tour was incredible thanks to our guide Navin which is really welcoming, patient and considerate. I would really recommend it!

Nice tour
A nice tour with good information about the First Fijian village. Loved the Beautiful Hindu Temple and the kava ceremony. Also enjoyed the Sleeping Giant botanical garden Our guide was very good.
