My small group thoroughly enjoyed this van tour. Nuno was a superb guide, full of fun stories, history, and folklore, and he gave us detailed insights into the geology, ecology and development of the island. He explained customs and traditions, and tailored the tour to our preferences. He stopped for views and photos the perfect amount of times, and knew the best cafe in which to take our coffee break. The vehicle was clean, comfortable and had air conditioning. I highly recommend this tour as a delightful and informative introduction to the island. Five stars.

Abel was our charming, enthusiastic and most knowledgeable tour for our tour around Terceira. Speaking perfect English, he gave us a wealth of history about Terceira and the Azores. The island is beautiful and each vantage point that he brought us to seemed to outdo the previous one. The pride Abel had in his home island of Terceira continually shown through over and over, making this a very special trip. Paulo was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Terceira Island. His passion for the rich culture was evident and he was so happy to share it with us. So many amazing views, sites and information. Ricardo was our driver and guide and he was outstanding! We got way more than our money's worth with him. He took us to the caves, lava tube, and steam vents as well as Duck Lake. The scenery on the way to and from was fantastic too. You really need to see the lava tube and Duck Lake if you are on the island. They were so memorable. Ricardo was super friendly with pleasant conversation and very informative about the island and its history. He is also a firefighter so my husband enjoyed talking to him about that. He was a safe driver and picked us up right at the cruise ship with a sign on his car. We really had the perfect introduction to Terceria and look forward to going back because of him and his beautiful island.

Paulo's low-key island charm was the high point of an excellent tour. He provided us with the benefits of a lifetime spent on the island, and we learned much about the history and traditions of this beautiful island. Met us at cruise terminal and was easy to find. Highly recommended.
