Comprehensive tour. A good bit of walking. No listening devices were used, which was a drawback. Would have been better if we'd had a chance to spend some time in Sopot.

The bus is used for the longer distances between the different sights, while walking is required in areas where vehicles are not permitted due to local regulations. This allows our guests to explore these historic areas on foot while keeping the tour practical within the time available. We currently do not use listening devices on this particular tour, and we appreciate your feedback on this aspect of the experience. We also understand that you would have enjoyed spending some time in Sopot. As the shared tour follows a set itinerary and schedule around the cruise ship’s arrival and departure times, adding additional stops is unfortunately not always possible. For guests with specific itinerary preferences, we recommend considering a private tour, where the experience can be tailored to their interests and available time. Very hard to hear the guide...no earphones. If you were in the front it was ok but with 29 people not the best.

The visit to the city center Gdansk was well worth it. Our tour guide named Becta (sorry if I misspelled her name) was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and Poland in general. We were picked up at the Seaport in a comfortable bus, where most of large cruise ships dock. And driven about 30 minutes to Gdansk. It was on a Sunday morning and the town was crowded with tourists but our guide navigated it well. Be prepared to walk around 9k steps, mostly flat but uneven cobblestone streets. Our only problem/ complaint is that the tour operator Vexperio should have provided us with listening devices to listen to our guide as we walked.

Regarding the walking, Gdańsk’s historic Old Town is a pedestrian area, and vehicles are not permitted on many of its historic streets. This means that the city center can only be properly explored on foot. The cobblestone streets are also an important part of Gdańsk’s historic character, reflecting the traditional appearance of the centuries-old city center. As for the listening devices, we understand your point. This is a combined bus-and-walking tour: the coach takes guests between the main areas, while the historic center itself needs to be explored on foot. With a larger group, we appreciate that it can sometimes be difficult to hear the guide clearly. At present, we do not use listening devices on this particular shared tour, but we appreciate you highlighting this as an area where the experience could potentially be improved. Amazing tour. Michael was probably the most knowledgeable tour guide we've ever had. He had tons of insight and local knowledge. Highly recommend!

From the moment we were picked up until we were delivered back to the cruise ship Michael was a non-ending source of knowledge, inspiration, insights and, even some wit. This is such a beautiful country and we learn so much on the tour. There was plenty of walking but not too much.
The guide was very courteous and helpful. I was disappointed that we did not have enough time in old town. I think there should be less time at the Oliva church

This was a brilliant tour led by Chris. Thought about order and busy places. Constant relevant commentary in great English. Organised, especially when silly people got lost. Extra care and inclusion of park visit and organ recital (fabulous 30 mins). A real treip highlight for us. Thankyou.

Everything was great! Chris was so accommodating for all! It was a great tour. A little tiring due to the hot weather, but we really enjoyed it. The driver made sure to have the car air running when we got in which was such a great relief! Loved the itinerary and enjoyed the piano program at the cathedral in Oliwa.
