Ana was a very good guide and Tasis a great driver. She was very accommodating at taking photos and providing a memorable visit to Santorini.. . The tour was delayed over 30 minutes, but they did extend our time. We had taken an earlier tender as requested numerous times by the tour company, so we waited 90 minutes to get to begin! The black sand beach at the end was not very clean and we would have preferred more time in Oia. The Taverna restaurant was very slow, our food and service were bad, and the bill was incorrect and they tried to overcharge us. Please consider an alternative to this beach and restaurant. Some other groups had an opportunity to visit a cave or winery experience, but our group did not have that.

We’re sorry the start of the day wasn't perfect. This was a busy morning with several cruise ships arriving and very rough sea conditions. Port operations are controlled by the authorities, with safety always the priority, so some delays were unavoidable. We did extend the tour to make up for part of the lost time.
For future guests, 15–20 minutes before the scheduled meeting time is sufficient - we never ask guests to arrive an hour or more early. We’re sorry you ended up waiting so long.
Regarding the winery, this is not part of our itinerary, so you may have spoken with guests who booked a different tour.
As for the restaurant, there are many restaurants along the Black Beach, and guests are always free to choose where they would like to eat - we never require anyone to dine at a specific restaurant. Unfortunately, the individual restaurant’s prices and service are outside our control, although we’re sorry to hear that your experience there was disappointing.
We understand you would have preferred more time in Oia, as everyone has different priorities. Our tour is designed to give guests a taste of several sides of Santorini within the limited time available from a cruise ship.

Excellent overview and avoid the cable car
Very good pickup at the tender port, boat to different dock where we were met by mini-buses (12 guests per) and our guide Alex who gave excellent commentary about Santorini. A little history, a little about economics, culture, science, and the magnificent views.....He made sure we had health breaks and opportunity for snacks/food and some shopping. The driver did a super job on the twisty, narrow, crowded roads and returned us to the dock where we again boarded a boat to the tender port. This was an excellent tour for an overview of Santorini and avoiding the gondolo/cable car. Alex was attentive and knowledgeable and personable.

The cable car was empty
Just not sure this tour was worth it. You are rushing through first 2 stops only to get to the end stop at the beach with nothing to do but sit in a restaurant for 90 mins. The guide and bus where great but in hindsight just didn't seem worth it to us. Especially with the now limit of 3 cruise ships the cable car was rarely backed up we got to port 1 hr early for this and could have just raid up the cable car as there was 0 wait at 930am.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed our guide and bus, although we’re sorry the tour wasn’t quite what you expected.
We were a little surprised to hear that you felt rushed through first 2 stops, as there are actually four stops before Perivolos Black Beach, and our morning tours also include complimentary extra time when possible. The Black Beach stop is normally a full hour, and when traffic allows, we often extend it so guests can swim, relax, walk around, take photos, or enjoy Greek food and drinks.
We were also surprised by the comment about “0 wait” for the cable car. With three cruise ships arriving at the same time, queues can vary significantly. We understand you chose to arrive at the Old Port an hour early, but our meeting time is only 15 minutes before the scheduled tour start, and we never ask the guests to arrive an hour in advance.
We’re sorry the experience didn’t feel worthwhile to you, but we hope this helps clarify the itinerary and timings for future guests.

Day in santorini
This was a great tour to avoid the VERY LONG LINE at cable car or donkey ride (35euro) up to the top of the town in Santorini. Once off boat and into bus for ride, tour was good with driver Costas and guide Phillipo. Lots of history and even prizes! First stop town of Oiya which was so crowded you could not move just to get to a viewing point for a photo. We chose not to be literally pushed up steps in a narrow alley, just to not get near the edge for a clear view or picture. Stop was 1 hour. Next stop was at a black beach where we were taken to a VERY expensive resort restaurant and dropped off for 1 hour and 15 minutes. You could have brought your swim attire but was not part of the description of tour. We wanted to sit so had a coffee and Coke. Then the last stop was promised to be better shopping and place to see…we had 15 minutes and guide raced us through town where bus dropped off and picked us up at at least 1/2 mile down road…with NO time to look or shop. Instead of dumping us for 1 hour and 15 minutes at a restaurant where company must get a kick back, we needed more time in 2nd town. Return to boat then back to cruise port was ok.

Thank you for your feedback. We believe there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the itinerary. Our guests normally have around one hour of free time in Oia, which we recommend for shopping, including local handmade jewellery and other unique products. Megalochori is a guided walk through the village.

Santorini tour
Friendly staff wonderful a trip to do again. Victor our guide was friendly, kind, helpful, generous, and knowledgeable. Spyros, driver did a good job, no issues on the narrow roads.
The tour was on time, but we weren’t rushing. Santorini was beautiful beyond expectations.
We took very good pictures wasn’t that crowded during September and there was an uncommon rain so the crowds weren’t terrible. Everything went smooth and magnificent.

Santorini at its best
If you want to ride the cable car and wait up to 1-2 hours this trip is not for you
We skipped that long line
The bus going up the mountain was unique
Our guide Johanna was great
Saw many terrific sights and had 2 great picture opportunities
Wished we had a little more time in the village by the police station , but snag some gelato YUMM!!
It is a long day. some observation from the bus, was difficult to see what she was mentioning but the walking was fabulous
Took us to a great seaside restaurant for lunch and some of our group went swimming

Our tour guide Victor was...
Our tour guide Victor was the best. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, easy to understand and funny, too! I would definitely recommend him! We enjoyed the tour, just wish we had more time in Santorini because it was so crowded that it took a while to get to see the blue domes.

Wished we could stay
The tour was perfect and very informative. We saw almost the whole island. Stopped for beautiful photos, shopping & snacks. Just the right amount of walking. We had lunch at a beach restaurant that had fantastic food. Better than anything we had on our cruise or other excursions. Our tour guide was really friendly and good at giving us information and stories.
