We were hesitant to book the Viator since the cruise lines caution passengers about getting back on time before the ship sails. Since Viator offered the Honfleur and Deauville excursion we decided to do this one no regrets, the tour guide brought us back to the ship several hrs before departure and we were about to book another excursion to Le Havre. Viator tour guides are very aware of boarding times no need to stress...in fact now that we are comfortable with booking Viator Shore excursions we will continue to search out great excursions for our future trips! In addition Laurence aka Larry the tour guide was fantastic he was very patient always a nice smile when you asked questions always willing to help with making the trip the best! He always had a good side...I don't think he has a bad side, his personality was very nice!
The visit to Deauville was just ok ... we went to the beach and just walked around. I think it would have been better to walk around the town. Honfleur was nice and we enjoyed a nice lunch and walking around the town. The tour guide Lawrence was great. He gave us some interesting facts about the places we wisited.

I feel this tour was misleading and a let down overall. We spent 40 minutes in deauville and I’m not sure why we even bothered to go there if we were only going there for such a short time. Then we went to Honfleur which the guide described as the most beautiful place with a postcard picturesque view. It was not. It was a tourist spot with junky flea market finds and really nothing to see. We were given 2 hours of free time there! We could have easily divided our time between the two places, with deauville hanging so much more to see than honfleur but instead we were stuck in this little town with absolutely nothing to do for eons. Guide was knowledgeable but the tour really was not worth the time or money.

In Deauville, the experience includes a guided panoramic drive past highlights such as Villa Strassburger, the Hippodrome, and the Casino, followed by a guided walk to the famous Les Planches boardwalk and beach before free time to explore independently. The tour then continues to Honfleur, where guests enjoy a guided walking tour through the town's charming streets and historic landmarks, including the unique wooden Church of Saint Catherine. After the guided portion, there is free time to explore the picturesque harbor, browse local shops and art galleries, or enjoy one of the many cafés and local specialties at your own pace. We understand that every traveler has different interests and expectations. Our itinerary is carefully planned to include guided experiences in both destinations while allowing guests time to explore on their own and ensuring a timely return to the cruise ship. We did a 6-hour tour of the harbour, Deauville and Hon Fleur. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of the town and buildings. Amazing tour conducted by the guide from Vexperio.
🤩Lawrence gave us a great tour, he was very knowledgeable & friendly and made it a great day out. Well organised and the timings were all good, would happily book again 🤩
Lawerence was very informative and gave great info on the tour. I enjoyed how he was respectful of the timing as well when delivering the info. He did not just talk to full the air, he spoke of facts and history. Loved it! The beach was Oh La La and Honfleur was just so very sweet and magical. Worth the trip!!
Lawrence was an excellent guide for our Le Havre shore excursion to Honfleur and Deauville. He shared rich historical context about both towns which added so much depth to the visit. The tour was well-paced and easy to follow, and his knowledge really brought the history to life. We had plenty of time to explore each place in n our own as well. Highly recommend!
