We did the guided tour of the Monastery and the Modernist building. Not to mention the two buildings, which are excellently preserved and set. My criticism focuses on: IT'S AN UNEMPATHETIC VISIT. It is a visit with little time to enjoy and understand what you see. It is a guided tour with audio guide (not with a guide, however you will be accompanied by a "guide" that only deals with opening doors, and closing and opening lights and videos). The time you spend seeing things, what to see or not to see, is decided by the audio guide, you can not decide anything. When the audio guide considers that the time of one room is over, the lights are closed, you go dark and you must move to the next room because you can no longer see anything else. The times are very fair for the details that are there, even less for taking photos or just for your personal enjoyment, the one of your mind rambling when you see a painting or imagine a historical scene, noooo no no, none of that because the lights are going to close in a few minutes. The guide moves the group through the rooms, as if it were an escape room. Open, close, pass, and not a comment. They shouldn’t know what happens next, because they don’t just let you know what you’re going to find. It must be his first time because not a simple "now we'll watch a video of..." "then we'll move on to..." nothing. You must understand for yourself, but nothing is understood because they do not let you stop since you have to follow. Making a little complaint, breaking the schedule of the visit, we were left a little longer to observe details of the monastery, falling behind the group, but out of compassion of the guide, not because it is planned. At least, if you are paying a person’s cost to accompany the group, it could be a person who speaks, otherwise, for this automate the doors and already the group such sheep will go from room to room. The guide could at least tell something, saying "if you sit here you'll see better," "now you'll see this," "now you'll notice it's cold, warm up if you want because we'll be in here for a while," "this smell you feel serves to recreate..." Anyway, you must have been told, girls, the audio guide explains everything, so don't open your mouths. Poor thing, what a career growth you'll have... THE VIDEOS ARE POOR, LONG AND CHILDISH. Perhaps for a group of children, it may be fine, especially the videos of the Monastery, because they look like warriors, pass from century to century in a plis plas, and the children like movement, but to understand history or explain it well, or if it cannot be done well on video, you leave it written on a panel as is often done in museums and spaces of this style. Not everyone learns with images. There are also a couple or three videos that don't contribute much or nothing, the mass, and the monges, even the room of the chairs covered... that I didn't understand why project videos in that weird way... AND FINALLY, THE PRICE IS EXCESSIVE. Apparently, or rather not seen, because as I say, this visit runs, 31€ per person seems very excessive, but what a lot. I'm honestly sorry, because you see the good intention, but I didn't like it.
