Great experience thanks to the very nice, friendly and competent tourgide Eleni, who knows everything about macedinian history and generally about the region. Good driver as well.

Excellent day trip . Informative guide : we visited Vergina first then Pella reversing the itinerary to avoid bottlenecks caused by anticipated roadworks on the return which worked very well ; just a 45 minute journey back from Pella . Plenty of time to view everything without being rushed : on this Ammon trip thankfully there was no unnecessary "stocking filler" ie wasted time swimming or restaurants ...Just the history and culture which for me is perfect. 16 on the trip . Recommended.

Excellent excursion that lets us discover the archaeological sites and the museums of Pella and Vergina. Superb landscapes as well, the countryside, the greenery. We discover priceless treasures from these tombs of historical figures. Very well done. Super nice guide and driver also very good. Very beautiful day to spend. It's a feast for the eyes.

The pacing of this tour is excellent. The archeological sites and museums are interesting but would be enhanced if any pamphlet were available or if the guide provided an on-site tour rather than being self guided. The selected lunch taverna served us efficiently. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The best part of the tour was our guide, Evangeline. She was knowledgeable, easy to understand and provided a regular commentary of the scheduled sites and the history of Northern Greece.

Despite a very pleasant guide, the visit did not convince us much. The first site does not justify its price (very few ruins remain) and the museum turns out to be uninteresting without proper explanations. ​Speaking little English, we had a lot of trouble following the bus commentary. Only the tomb of Philip II amazed us, but it suffers from the same problem: zero explanation in French (a QR code would have been ideal). Overall, the value for money is disappointing given the initial price and the additional entrance fees.

The trip to Vergina was enjoyable as it was in formative. Stelios , our guide, provided Judy’s with much information but was ready to provide further when asked. The sites themselves were amazing!
