Being foodies, this was perfect! Our host Indraneel Chakravarty (hope I have spelt his name right) was friendly and approachable. He made the tour very interesting with the right mix of info and trivia. Definitely recommended for those who love their food and like their history lessons been gently taught and not force-fed!

The food walk was so well organized with just the write smattering of history between good. Our walk leader Indranil was so warm and engaging and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. It was truly a memorable experience with delicious food, delectable sweets and refreshing beverages along the 10 stops. Totally worth it and learnt so much about the city!

I had a great experience on the food walk in Bohri Mohalla. It was three hours of nonstop delicious food, and every stop was enjoyable. Siddesh was a great host and the atmosphere was lively. Highly recommended!

Perfectly paced itinerary struck that rare balance between visiting several eateries and also having the time to relish the food. Our tour guide Mickey was incredible. Not only did he take us to several iconic places for an authentic Bohri cuisine experience, he also made sure to generously sprinkle historical titbits throughout the walk to keep us adequately entertained. 10/10 would recommend.

My children recommended Khakhi tours (having gone on one of their walks from school) and it was an excellent choice. Our host (not guide) was Mr. Sagar Joshi - we did run into 2 of his friends - and they all share a passion for history, courtesy, hospitality and a desire to walk off the regular, beaten path. The walk matched - the food was varied in taste, every morsel accompanied with it's own history, ably narrated by Mr. Sagar - I did not know every alternate restaurant in the Ramzan walk had it's own origin in a different corner of India! The food itself was good. The tastes varied from sweet, mildly spiced to heavily spiced kebabs (none that we couldn't handle) but Mr. Sagar gave us ample and sufficient notice and guidance both on how to pace ourselves and about what we were to expect. The food also wasn't very "oily" as some other made us believe. All in all - the food matched the history - wonderful, fragrant and nostalgic. The walk took us to some "chaotic" parts of Mumbai and some of the foods qualify as "street food" and some friends warned us about hygiene being an issue - but it was definitely not. Khaki Tours & Mr. Sagar ensured that EVERY outlet we visited were decent on hygiene. Yes, people with OCD may squirm at the lack of a sink/basin but a pack of wet wipes and a small bottle of sanitiser should keep the OCD at bay. It also goes without saying that a good pair of running / walking shoes are par for the course - our step counters showed us that we had covered about 3 Km. in about 2-3 hours. Another unavoidable issue is that pure vegetarians will enjoy only half the walk (the sweets), the other half is out of bounds to them, but that's this particular walk, I guess. In conclusion we enjoyed the walk a lot! A good part and the bulk of the credit goes to Khakhi tours and of course Mr. Sagar. Thank you to both of them. But I also wanted to specially mention our friends in the tour (no names because it's a public platform - but you know who you are) who were equally warm, friendly, courteous and sharing. They made the whole trip as equally enjoyable as the organisers. Thank you so much to them too! Please go on this trip - you don't know what you have missed until you take it.

Had a great experience of Bohri Mohalla Ramzan food walk with Mickey of Khakhi tours. He took us to the right places that served really yummy food from seekh kabab to nalli nihari and decadent original desserts that was an absolute delight. And just the right amount of history as a tadka to our walk.

Parvez was our host, and gave us a fantastic experience, walking through the streets, learning bits of history and sampling some of the best food. 13 different sweet and savory delicacies in the same evening, but Parvez did a very good job of packing with portions and storytelling! We highly recommend.
