This was an excellent five-hour tour and a fantastic way to experience Dubrovnik through the world of Game of Thrones. The tour was delivered in two engaging parts. First, Katja provided fascinating insights into the making of the series, shared stories about the actors, and guided us through filming locations around the Old Town. Her knowledge brought the scenes and locations to life. The second part was a road trip with Mario, who is a genuine Game of Thrones enthusiast. He combined his impressive knowledge of the series with a deep understanding of Croatia and Dubrovnik’s history, as well as the region’s trees and plants. A particular highlight was seeing the stunning gardens where many scenes were filmed, which added even more value to the experience. Although the gardens and the old fort had separate entry fees, both were well worth visiting. The fort ticket also gave a €15 discount on the Dubrovnik city walls walk. The stops near the top of the hill by the cable car station also offered spectacular views and some of the day’s best photo opportunities. Katja and Mario were both knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Dubrovnik and Game of Thrones. A memorable, well-paced tour I highly recommend to fans of the series and anyone who wants to discover more of the city and its surroundings.

We had a wonderful tour exploring the beautiful Dubrovnik with Katja and Mario. The first half of the day was walking around a few filming locations, we learned what was real and what they filmed in studio with Katja, who also worked on the set when they filmed here (super cool)! Mario took us on the driving tour for the second half of the day where we got to explore the botanical gardens that are hundreds of years old, and includes an absolutely stunning view of the ocean and islands. We finished the tour at the top of the cable car, giving us a panoramic view of the whole city. On top of the game of thrones facts, we also got to learn a bit about Dubrovnik’s history, which we loved! Thanks for a great experience team, looking forward to coming back some day :)

★★★★★ This was an excellent Game of Thrones tour, and I really appreciated that the two parts had very different personalities while still fitting together beautifully. The first part was with Katja, who met us in the morning near the information center and was very easy to spot with her Game of Thrones umbrella. From the beginning she was welcoming, relaxed, and funny. She kept the tour light and engaging while still giving us plenty of information, including stories from her own experience as an extra and fun anecdotes about the actors and filming. She showed us photos from the scenes, gave us plenty of time to take our own pictures, and never made the experience feel rushed or overly scripted. Her energy was low-key but consistent, warm, and genuinely enjoyable. After the lunch break, the extended portion continued with Mario, who was absolutely exceptional. He was like a walking encyclopedia. As we drove, he pointed out towns, bridges, landscapes, and historical details, constantly connecting Croatian history with the way Game of Thrones borrowed from or adapted elements of that history. At Trsteno Arboretum, he took the time to explain the gardens, trees and plants as well as the filming locations, including what was real and what had been enhanced digitally. He gave us time to explore and take photos without rushing us. Later, on Mount Srđ, he pointed out the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina and shared fascinating history about the region, trade routes, plants and spices. He was patient with questions and clearly loved sharing what he knew. The only small thing I would improve is making the meeting point for the second half a little clearer, especially since I was there alone at first and wasn’t completely sure I was in the right place. It was quickly resolved and wasn’t a problem. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. If you’re only casually interested in Game of Thrones, the shorter tour may be enough. But if you’re a real fan and enjoy history, filming details, behind-the-scenes stories, and a deeper understanding of Dubrovnik and the surrounding area, the full experience is absolutely worth it. Katja and Mario were both fantastic.

Just returned from cruise- these tour guides and this tour were awesome! Knowledgable, friendly, & accommodating. This was my favorite location and tour of the 10 day trip.

Wondeful experience. We were able to see everything and take lots of pictures. The tour guides were wonderful and informative. Croatia is a country I want to explore more further in the future.
