Great knowledge from this historical tour. Excellent development of Atlanta. Mural of MLK on people street covered with trees. That is a poor representation of the parks department not maintaining such a treasure. Visitors to travel from out of town to see the poor neglect of the mural. I’m disappointed. I hope this gets prompt attention
Even though I have visited Atlanta numerous times in the past I am so glad I signed up for this tour! It was perfect! The history we learned was amazing and the culture stop were so enjoyable. Our tour guide, Jeff, was so funny and informative! Highly recommend this tour.
This tour was excellent! Don’t miss it! Our tour guide was informative, professional, and engaging. His sense of humor was infectious! My grandson and I, along with our fellow travelers, thoroughly enjoyed the tour. As an added bonus, our guide stopped at historical sites and local businesses, giving us opportunities to support small-business owners while browsing gift shops and sampling local eateries. Y’all, we stopped by Ma’Dear’s house, cruised by Morehouse and Spelman Colleges, saw Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s former residences, visited Tyler Perry Studios, and experienced many other notable Atlanta attractions. Our guide also shared video footage and photographs throughout the tour, which helped provide historical context and greater insight into the people, places, and events we encountered. His storytelling brought the history to life and made the experience both educational and entertaining. This was a wonderful way to experience Atlanta, and I highly recommend this tour—especially for anyone interested in the city’s rich history, culture, and African American heritage. Five stars!
Jeff was a brilliant guide. Passionate about his city and the hugely important role it played in civil rights history. We were not rushed and even went off the normal tour for extra.
