We've done Vasilis's sunrise photo tour in Athens three times now, and that alone should tell you everything you need to know. We're not professional photographers and don't have fancy cameras, we shoot on our iPhones and just want better vacation photos. Whatever your skill level, Vasilis meets you exactly where you are. Every time we've gone out with him, we've walked away with beautiful shots and learned new tips and techniques we keep using for the rest of our trip, and long after we get home. Beyond the photography, Vasilis is genuinely a great person to spend a morning with. He's fun, easy to talk to, and has a way of making you feel relaxed even when you're up before sunrise squinting at your phone settings. Athens at that hour is absolutely magical, and he knows the perfect spot. If you love sunrises and want to capture the magic of Athens at sunrise, this tour is a absolute can't-miss. Even after 3 times, we will do it again on our next trip to Athens.

Vasilis was very knowledgeable, patient, and passionate throughout our session. As a beginner, I truly appreciated his guidance and the many helpful tips he shared. We captured excellent professional photos, and his friendly attitude made the experience even better. He thoughtfully provided hot coffee and bread, which was a nice touch on a cold day. The climb up Philopappos Hill was absolutely worth it, offering stunning views and a memorable experience. Overall, it was an enjoyable, educational, and inspiring time that exceeded my expectations and left me feeling more confident and motivated in photography.

The most perfect way to start your day is by watching the sunrise over the Acropolis! Vasilis is an exceptional photographer and a passionate teacher - I learned so much from him. I was so impressed with this photography tour that I immediately booked another one with Vasilis. Enjoying coffee and pastries from the sunrise spot made the experience even more special. The sunrise photo tour with Vasilis was my tours highlight in Athens, worth the early morning start! A great vantage point of the key landmarks and sunrise. Vasilis was an excellent Guide and knowledgeable photographer ready to encourage and guide. We had a fun and relaxed few hours with opportunity to experiment with different photo styles and techniques and the classic shots while we waited for the sun to come out from behind the small clouds. A tour not to miss if you love photography.

Vasilis is a very knowledgable photographer, who is incredibly friendly and easy to get on with. We went as a couple but only my husband is interested in photography, but I was made very comfortable as I sat and read, with Vasilis having brought expressos and breakfast as well. Unfortunately we didn’t get a lovely sunrise, but that’s nature and we also went in Feb, however my husband really enjoyed the session and would highly rate it for others interested in learning more about their cameras.

This stunning view and the photography pearls were well worth the effort of waking up early for this sunrise tour. Vasilis is both very likeable and quite knowledgeable. He assessed my skill level and equipment and tailored the content accordingly. He also kindly provided coffee and helped me get to to my next tour. Attached are some iphone shots as I have not yet edited the dslr images. Just do yourself a favor and take this tour. It is a very beautiful way to start a morning in Athens.

The Athens sunrise photo tour was an amazing and unique experience that I will never forget. Vasilis is an Athens-born professional photographer with over 30 years of experience and with an incredible love and knowledge of the city. This was a private tour, and felt like a stroll with an old friend. He will meet you where your photography level is. The spot for the tour is incredible, with sweeping views of the entire Acropolis hill, Acropolis museum, and the city below. The sun rises to the right. We started well before the sunrise, and he constantly gave tips on framing, technical aspects, and timing. He made sure we made efficient use of time, since the light changes so fast with as the sun rises. He also gave suggestions on other places to go to photograph Athens and surrounding areas, and even brought breakfast! I came out with amazing pictures, new learnings, and a new friend. I wish every travel destination had a Vasilis. Now stop reading and book a tour! It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Greece.

Vasilis was a patient, knowledgeable instructor who is passionate about photography. This is infectious and has inspired me to take my photography to the next level of creativity. This was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget . I was pushed out of my comfort level and lived every minute of this experience.
