This tour was a relaxing walk through the shopping area of Alexandria. With added bonus of tasting classic Alexandrian fair. The vibe is way more relaxed than Cairo and some of the foods are different than what we had in Cairo and Aswan.
The whole tour was great, we visited historic and scenic areas between food stops. We got some historic and cultural info about some of the foods we tried. I would recomend this tour to anyone willing to try new food and walk the oldest shopping area of Alexandria.
Yousef was the perfect host! He was kind, had great communication, made a single female traveler feel at ease, safe, and comfortable. He listened to my wishes and provided a delicious experience that gave me unique and amazing opportunities for tasting. Yousef was the perfect host! As a single female traveler, he picked me up from my hotel after having established great communication and planning prior. He listened to my likes, desires. Was very flexible, kind, paying attention to safety and comfort, as well as deliciousness and introducing me to dishes unique to my experiences. Would recommend whole heartedly and hope to explore more with him next time!
My sister and I had a private food tour with Yousef in Alexandria and loved everything about it. We got to see an Alexandria in an authentic way and tasted amazing food. Yousef shared a lot about the city and how the history impacts the cuisine. He was fascinating to listen to and speaks excellent English!
We had an amazing dinner food tour in Alexandria with Mahmoud! He is so friendly & knowledgeable! He is from Alexandria & knows all of the local spots for the best Egyptian foods! We (my husband, college aged daughter & myself) were looking for about a 4 dinner hour tour (not a half day tour) & he was so accommodating! We did a walking food tour in downtown Alexandria & it was perfect! Walking is definitely the best way to do a food tour here! Easier than driving & better to walk between food locations to let the food settle down. Mahmoud was delightful & an excellent guide. He loves his city & country & is a great ambassador for Egypt! I highly recommend Mahmoud! He & Ramasside Tours were excellent from the beginning with contacting us via What's App, able to accommodate our timing, being on time to meet us at our hotel, and bringing us to great locations for the best local Egyptian/Alexandrian food!
