The excursion was good, compliant with the description. Our guide Nika explains us lots interesting stuff on Georgia and on the history of the site. Length of the visit is good, the hiking part is not too long. Rainbow mountains are impressive. Make sure to have good shoes, sunscreen and water. There is a monastery shop with restrooms (1 lari) and where you can get coffee and bottles of water.

We were traveling with Nika, a really wonderful and friendly guide. On the way there, Nika told us all about Georgia—from food and drink to culture and history—it was all very informative! We made a stop at a salt lake. From my perspective, the stop was a bit unnecessary, since the lake didn’t look particularly beautiful and there wasn’t a spectacular view. After that, we drove to the Red Mountains and the monastery. We went on a hike through the Red Mountains that lasted about an hour. It wasn’t a problem for us, but you should be in reasonably good shape. It’s not a long hike, but it does go up and down quite a bit. Afterward, we took a snack break at a cave—it was a bit unnecessary to climb up to a cave in that heat, especially since there wasn’t enough shade for everyone. The monastery was very interesting. Overall, it was a very nice day trip. Nika made all the stops even more interesting with lots of information.

Our guide was Nika, he was extremely knowledgeable tour guide. Told us a lot of interesting facts about Georgia and Georgian culture. I highly recommend this tour!

Rainbow Mountain is a must see! Lots of tours in Georgia are very long, but this is a perfect length - about 8 hours. Shoti was an amazing guide - I learned so much about the sites as well as more generally about Georgia. You walk around a bit, so be prepared for that, but the effort is worth it! The driver Omar was great and kept us safe.
