The experience was amazing on itself, but even better because of our guide Camilo. I”m super grateful for everything he did with us and for us. Definitely will be with them again!!!

Excellent tour, highly recommended
Diego was our driver and he was excellent, very polite and friendly and he even opened the car door for me at each stop!
Both tours were great, the only disappointment was on the Guatavita lake tour our guide did not speak any English so we couldn’t understand anything he was saying, luckily one of the other guests spoke English and translated for us. Otherwise we had a great day and would recommend the tour.

Couple tour
Hi. We just came home from the tour. The tour was very good and worth our time. We had so many nice experiences and beautiful pictures. Jorge was very kind to us and he knows a lot about Colombia and we heard so many stories and got so many information from him. We really recommend the tour with Jorge to everyone who wants to experience nature of Colombia

Great experience if you speak Spanish
Our driver Filipe was fantastic and he definitely deserves 5 stars. Overall, we had a great day, however, it should be mentioned that the tour of la laguna is in spanish only. We feel like this should be highlighted in the description.

⭐⭐ Beautiful destinations, but disappointing execution
Guatavita and the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá are beautiful places and absolutely worth a visit. Unfortunately, we cannot say that about the organization of this tour.
We deliberately booked this tour because it was clearly indicated that it would be in English. This was an important part of the choice for us. In reality, our driver only spoke Spanish. He was certainly friendly and did his best, but because I speak a little Spanish, it came down to me constantly translating for the other guests. That is obviously not what you pay for when booking an English-language tour.
It was also indicated that the entrance tickets were included. We still had to pay for our tickets ourselves at Guatavita. We found that strange and unprofessional.
The transport was also a letdown. For such a long day, the seats were very cramped and not comfortable. I am only 1.55 m tall myself and found the legroom already limited. For taller people, we think this is not at all pleasant transport for a day tour.
The driver himself was friendly and the two destinations ultimately made our day worthwhile. But the tour as it was offered and the tour we actually received did not sufficiently match what we expected.
Especially when you specifically book an English-language tour, you can expect that it will actually be offered in English. Therefore unfortunately only 2 stars.

I recommend tours!
The tour was very nice and, above all, very well organized and efficient. Communication with the agency was excellent and the drivers were always available to answer our questions, help us, and support us at all times.
We did the tours to the Guatavita Lake and Salt Cathedral, and to Villa de Leyva with Gran Tour Colombia. In both cases we had an excellent experience. Our drivers, Gustavo and Diego, were very kind, attentive, and always willing to help us. They made the tours even more enjoyable and we felt very well accompanied throughout the day.
I totally recommend Gran Tour Colombia, and especially Gustavo and Diego! Thank you very much for the excellent experience!

Great Adventure but be ready for it
This includes a moderately aggressive climb up a rugged but well maintained rock path. Good hiking shoes are a plus. There is a lot of driving time, some highway but some on poor mountain roads.
Unless you are an adventurous eater pack your own lunch.
The Salt Cathedral is stunning. Be prepared to walk in a fairly low light environment.
Bring a reusable water bottle - the National Parks frown on disposable plastic because, sadly, tourists are slobs and will litter the magnificent mountainside with trash!
