It was so much fun to tour Ribera del Duero with Enrique. Logistics were easy, and wine servings were generous/tasty. Enrique also did a great job finding a good lunch spot for our group. One downside is we did the tourn in June and -- even though we had a Mercedes van -- it was hard to keep the back of the van cool throughout the trip.
Really good value for the price. Was do nice to get out of Madrid and see one of the great wine countries. The tour guide was great and even helped translate when needed.

We had a great time on the tour! Ismael was informative, patient, kind guide! I so enjoyed all the different wineries - It was three very different vibes at each winery which was so nice to have in a short trip to a region. I would do it again and again! We went with a group of couples and a solo traveler and had the BEST time. Tasted amazing and unique wines and learned about some unique history and wine making techniques!

We had the opportunity to take a tour of the Ribera del Duero with Ismael from Gourmet Madrid, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. If you are looking for a tour that combines deep knowledge, passion for wine, and impeccable service, Ismael is the perfect guide. The itinerary was extraordinarily well designed, allowing us to contrast different winemaking philosophies through three spectacular stops: Luthier Wineries: A fascinating stop where craftsmanship, music, and meticulous attention to detail can be felt in each of their wines. Bela Wineries: An impressive and elegant project (from the CVNE family) that captivated us both with its cutting-edge architecture and the tremendous quality and typicity of its reds. Valsotillo: The historical gem of the tour. Descending into its impressive 12th-century underground caves and tasting the traditional excellence of its wines was a truly unforgettable experience. What truly makes this tour unique is Ismael. His technical mastery of the wine world, his ability to explain the history of the region, and his warmth transformed the journey into a smooth, educational, and highly enjoyable conversation among wine enthusiasts. He took care of every detail, ensuring that the pace of the day was perfect. Without a doubt, Gourmet Madrid and, specifically Ismael, are the best option to discover the essence and soul of the Ribera del Duero. We will definitely repeat without a second thought! The experience was impressive. Our guide/driver Ismael was excellent. The three wineries we visited welcomed us warmly and made us feel part of their story. A truly immersive and cultural experience. Excellent service everywhere, from the moment they pick you up to the wineries and until they drop you off at the hotel.
Visited 3 wineries for this day tour with Enrique. He has very good knowledge about the region and the wines. He is willing to share any information. He is also a good bridge as a translator (with his wine knowledge) for the Spanish speaking winery personnel and owner. The tour covers 3 wineries of different profiles and the sites are interesting (the bonus is in the last one). The only comment is that the company should pay the wineries for us to try better wines, after all it’s not expensive on site. Don’t serve us 10-20Euro bottles. Only one out of the 3 wineries, we got to taste 60 dollars bottle. Maybe the company should check out the profile and the experience of its future customers to cater for better wine appreciation. Travel that far and drink cheap wine is a bit of a let down.
