Excellent experience. The hospital visit was very special to see up close the turtles being cared for. Staff very friendly. We loved it!

We decided to do the turtle hospital experience as my son loves turtles and it wasn’t a lot extra on top of general admission. Safe to say it was more than worth the money. Brett was fantastic explaining things and showing us the hospital area and to get so close to the turtles was amazing!! I’d definitely recommend this to anyone in area looking for something to do and the admission costs are helping the cause as well.

first went to Egypt tour then thought why not combine both. both were brilliant. i didn't think i would enjoy the aquarium, but it was fantastic. instructors explaining various things on the reef displays of corals a walk though where the marine life can surround you, and there were little crocodiles so i just enjoyed myself immensely. great day out.

The aquarium was a visit to see the fish and mammals we have been snorkeling with the last few days. It’s a very big well laid out aquarium starting with the fresh water and moving into the ocean and reef. We listened to two different marine biologists give us talks regarding the fish, mammals and the ocean and human interaction with all of it. Very informative. It’s air conditioned and comfortable. A great place to visit even if you are seeing lots of these fish/mammals firsthand in the sea.

really informative talk about different sea turtles found in Australia, the threats they face in the wild that are endangering them, and what the rehabilitation programme. got to see a few turtles but not for too long. some money from the ticket goes towards helping the cause so definitely worth it!

Excellent experience. Specially for turtle hospital tour..

My partner and I had the most wonderful time exploring the cairns aquarium, the admission price was very reasonable for the amazing range of animals they have and all the lovely staff. We didn’t pre book and weren’t sure if we were going to do the turtle hospital, but when we asked how much it was we were told it was $20 pp and all the proceeds went directly to helping the turtle hospital operate. We were lucky enough to be the only people doing the tour and had the most amazing time hearing Brett passionately speak about turtles. Brett’s enthusiasm and love for turtles was amazing and he was unbelievable knowledgeable. Hearing about his experiences and the work he has done for turtles was simply jaw dropping. We would’ve been happy with the educational talk that was delivered, but we were able to see a gorgeous green sea turtle being rehabilitated. Being in the presence of such an amazing animal was potentially the best thing ever. Unbelievable experience. So cheap for what it is. Thank you Brett! Thank you Ari! What a place!

The aquarium was one of the nicest I have visited. There was a wide variety of fish, amphibians and other creatures to see. The staff were helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. I especially appreciated the loan of a wheelchair for my disabled mom, so the whole family could enjoy the entire facility. The add-on visit to the turtle rehab portion of the facility was absolutely worth it, the work they are doing to help the injured sea turtles is worth seeing and supporting. We also thoroughly enjoyed a delicious lunch at the attached restaurant, where we could watch one of the large tanks of fish from our table.

We booked the Turtle hospital along with the aquarium admission. The aquarium was very nice and crowded. The turtle hospital was a small group of 10 people and so worth the ticket. Our guide was so knowledgeable and caring about the turtles. I would definitely recommend this.

We loved hearing about the wonderful work of the turtle rescue centre. The information beforehand was pitched well to accommodate young children (my own 11 -year old) and adults. The environmental insights have led to some changed behaviour in what we do as a family. It was just the right length, and we loved hearing about the three turtles currently being rehabilitated. Thanks so much for the great memories and the beautiful photos we got of Tommy the Green Sea Turtle swimming away. I hope his release went well and he is living his best life out on the reef.
