This is an audio tour of the palace. A thorough experience can take well over two hours. Each room presentation starts with the purpose and architectural details before describing the artwork. And there is a lot of artwork, which can become overwhelming to the uninitiated. Separate audio tracks would be helpful for those not well versed in art.
We went to the ticket shop to pick them up and then walked to the priority entrance. The bar codes wouldn't scan and the abrupt unapologetic official sent us back to the shop. We were then issued another print out to use at the long regular queue, to be followed by another queue to gain entry by showing our print out to get the actual ticket. What a faff in 80 degrees of heat and thousands of people. We love Italy but be prepared that no one in authority is in a hurry to let you get in anywhere! 😆. The palace was incredible though and worth the hassle 👌 .
The rooms are so opulent and compares drastically with the prisons. You need to first exchange your Palace “voucher” for the real ticket by going to a tour office but the lineup was short

Nice and painless. Check the info as you have to pick your tickets up from the travel agents shop about 200m away from the palace but they already had our details so no issue. Doge's palace itself is well worth a visit and should we return to Venice we'd do it again. Entrance to Museo Correr is also included but that was disappointing, more about artistic fluff than anything informative. If you think your lifetime is going to be one hour too long then by all means spend it there.
As a traveller with limited mobility i was a little concerned how much of the palace i could see but I should not have worried.We bought priority tickets so we would not have to queue and I was offered the use of the lift without asking and my daughter was allowed to come with me.Staff were only too pleased to help and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
I bought a ticket for a 12:30 entrance and they would not let me in without a QR code all I had was the ticket provided by TripAdvisor
Purchased the ticket online went to gate one went straight through immediately The audio guy didn’t work particularly well we had to download the app first they took forever and the audio app kept defaulting back to the beginning
We enjoyed the palace when we eventually got in! We didn’t realise the ticket we received wasn’t for entry until we arrived as we are used to being emailed the tickets on booking. It was supposed to be priority entrance but didn’t appear to be anything priority about them! We were informed on entry that we needed to walk 10 minutes up the road to a local travel agency who would give us the tickets which seemed a huge inconvenience!
Great experience to look around such an amazing buildings. The artistry is a must see and each room really does have the wow factor
