It's one heck of an experience to crawl through the tunnels. We love the challenge but it might be a bit too much for seniors and folks with disability. Our guide Hugo not only gave us lots of history and background of Vietnam but also saved everyone's time by avoiding the other crowds.

Our last few days in Vietnam have been in Ho Chi Minh City aka Saigon. Another totally different city experience. Here with the expertise of Tripadeal guide Zedd we enjoyed his city. It is a modern metropolis with wide streets of the distinct French colonial architecture and the Viet narrow multi storied buildings. Still a lot of 'Toyota' (cars) and 'Honda' (scooters/ motorbikes) for the 13,000,000 population. As part of the tour we went to the Cu Chi Tunnels and the War Remnants Museum. Seeing the Vietnamese perspective of the American War was very confronting but further highlighted the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the Viet people who had been fighting for their own land for 1000 years. He took us along the Mekong Delta to show the diversification of farming - rice, coconut, cacao or coffee, fishing or crocodile breeding, everything is used, nothing is wasted. And as always the people have been friendly, the food fantastic and the tour amazing overall. Today we crossed into Cambodia with ease. Thank you Zedd.

Phong was such a knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining tour guide! He shared lots of interesting history about Vietnam and the Vietnam War, and his jokes definitely kept the tour fun 😂 We also really appreciated how kind he and our driver, Hung, were at the end of the tour. We asked if they could drop us at another location instead, and they kindly made a short detour for us even though they could have easily declined. It saved us a lot of unnecessary travelling! Really grateful to have had Phong as our guide. He is definitely an asset to Kim Travel! ❤️
