We had an amazing time on the go-kart tour through Tokyo! It was one of the highlights of our trip and such a fun way to see the city. What an amazing experience with a great guide

No pun intended, but your mileage may vary with what you want out of this Go-Kart experience. We met at the Annex which felt a little out of the way from the main Shibuya area distance-wise, but they were very clear on where to meet, getting all the paperwork signed, and making sure you understood how to drive your vehicle in a fun way. The costumes were definitely a bit worn out. As someone with a skin condition, I was hesitant to put these on or over my head, but it wasn’t too bad. Once in the vehicle, our instructor (who spoke pretty fluent English) guided us through the streets with ease. It was a sight to behold as you literally drove across Shibuya Crossing and towering skyscrapers — it wasn’t so great that you were breathing in the exhaust of the vehicles in front of you while doing it. While it was certainly cool driving through the streets in this fashion, I feel like I was more concerned with driving the Go-Kart and making sure I was avoiding traffic and following signals than I was admiring the sites and sounds of the city. It generally just felt like driving a fun vehicle instead of being excited by the notion that I was literally driving in the middle of Tokyo. Ultimately, this is a fun experience for the novelty alone, even if it oftentimes felt like I wanted more out of it.

Fantastic fun and all felt so safe. A must do when in Tokyo !!

Fun experience. The costumes were a little dingy but fun. We inhaled a lot of exhaust from the go karts as we drove through the streets of Shibuya. It was cool to cross Shibuya Crossing. It felt pretty safe despite being in traffic. Pretty easy to manage even though the directions seemed complicated. Worth buying the insurance anyway. Our leader was cool. He always looked back while we were driving to make sure we were together and safe.
