An informative, personable, and enjoyable tour curated by our marvelous tour guide Cie. A wonderful treat on our anniversary. We highly recommend it for anyone who wants insight on the seafood industry in Boston and the tremendous impact the ‘Big Dig’ had on the city we know today.
Our tour guide was named Will. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He had a good understanding of the seafood business in Boston. The food choices we received were good, and overall it was a very nice experience.
Horrid tour. Spent 80.00 because was supposed to be limited to 12. They added 12 more people due to guide not showing. The place was hard to find to meet. Sid not give great directions. The sidewalks in boston are too crowded and narrow for 24 people. It was impossible to walk more than 2 abreast. Impossible to hear the guide who did not have a microphone. The large group was not anticipated at the restaurants so slow to get food for 24. Consequently we missed three stops I called the company and they basically said tough. I feel half of money should be returned. Do not go on this. Do the historic seafood tour.
We are seafood lovers so this tour caught our eye. Our guide, Will, was punctual, polite and extremely knowledgeable. We weren’t sure what to expect but learned a lot about the Boston seafood industry, sustainability initiatives, and urban planning of the surrounding neighborhood. We sampled chowder, a fresh tuna maki roll, oysters and of course a lobster roll. All were great! Will also pointed out other places of interest along the way. We have done these types of tours all over the world and this one was great. It also gets you into a part of the city you may not naturally visit. Must love seafood.
We had 3 stops, each with great food. However, we were only offered a cup of water at the first stop. The outside temperature was over 90 degrees. There was no availability fluids for the rest of the trip. I brought a water bottle with me, but that was done by stop #2. Our tour the day before offered water at each stop. Also said if we needed some in between stops that we could get something. Food doesn't taste as good when your mouth is like cotton.
Caitlin was a great guide and we enjoyed all the seafood we got to try!
Travis was an excellent tour guide, kind, humorous, helpful & informed. I wish he would have somehow acknowledged my daughter’s 18th birthday. We traveled from Washington to be here on her birthday., Boston also needed to turn down the humidity, though. It was a bit of a struggle for this old lady from the west coast to do all the walking.
Excellent food, very informative. We were definitely full after the food tastings. Travis did a great job!
Ilan was a fantastic tour guide. We were about 9 people, and Ilan engaged and connected with all of us in equal measure while making the walk super informative. Learnt a lot of history. The food was super fresh and tasty. It was a decent, very doable walk with stops in a lively but not overwhelming part of Boston.
