A little disappointed with something that was labeled a wine tour. Light on the wine & heavy on the mills. The first winery we visited, gave exactly two tastings of wine and one small brandy taste. We then spent forever talking about the Croatian mills and visiting 3. At the 3rd mill, we received a full pour of wine and some snacks. The last stop, the Botaro Vineyard the host made a joke about it being the last stop and us being drunk. My husband and I looked at each other confused because minimal wine was given.

Tour guides were fantastic! All the families were so wonderful and welcoming. If you’re looking for a breakdown of how wine is made, this isn’t for you. This tour just gets you out into a fun way to have some snacks and lovely wines. The only reason I drop one star is because I didn’t find the mills interesting or what I was looking for in my day out.

This tour is an absolute waste of money. It was described to us as a wine tasting tour but was actually unlike any other wine tasting tour we have been on. The itinerary we received said to wear comfortable shoes as we would be walking among the vines, this never happened. The first stop at the cellar Brajkovic started okay and we were given a description of the one red and one white wine on offer and given a splash to try. Okay, a slowish but okay start, we then travelled by the train to the water mill experience, fairly informative but absolutely no good for disabled people. We then got taken to the vineyards of Ivo Karaman but it was just a hall in a village, on entry the tables were laid with a selection of unripe olives, sweating cheese and curled up ham. We were then asked if we wanted red or white with absolutely no explanation as to what we were drinking (it was awful), there was talk about the vineyard or history and the guide just sat in the corner not engaging. We were then taken to the final stop, winery Botaro. We were given half a glass of rose and a slice of cake, a brief but very entertaining chat from the host and that was that. If you are after a traditional wine tasting then this tour is not for you. I feel absolutely robbed as did most of the other participants.

It was very confusing, Gulliver travel kept on changing the pick up location, we had to walk to another hotel, but when I booked they said the pick up was in our hotel, I talked to concierge several times and they called to verify but there was a mixed up….i used Viator 4 different tours for this vacation but this one was even a 3 star only

Wonderful tour tasting wine and experiencing the culture of Croatia. Our guide was very informative on both the wine, the family histories and how olive oil was made back in the days before electricity.

The main description on tripadvisor is slightly different to the itinerary description. You taste 4 wines, without any guidance on what you are tasting (no tasting notes etc.) and don't get to hear much of how they make the wine, more about the family history of the vineyard- which is interesting. We ended up spending the most time at a water mill and a flour mill - no live wool making as stated in the description. Also note the train doesnt drive you through vineyards you are on a main road for a lot of it but you do go past vineyards and some people in our party had spent over an hour on the coach before we even got picked up. The tour was okay, the wine was nice and I enjoyed trying the liqueurs at the last vineyard.

Fantastic afternoon in the beautiful countryside. Friendly knowledgeable guide. Transfer turned up on time and it was good to take in the views on the way to the valley. On the tour itself and at all the vineyard stops, it was good to learn the history and traditions of the family owned vineyards and Mills. Wine tasting was excellent. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Vineyard Botana (last stop) was the best with grandma's cake and excellent host!!. Thank you 😊

Konavle valley wine tour. Picked up from our hotel and taken to three very different vineyards. Each had there own style and character. One had a working flour mill with demo and history, loved this. At each stop the owners brought local crafts and foodstuffs to try and buy. Between the vineyards we were transported on a small land train. Great photo ops. Great wine and lovely people. Our pick of the tours we did on this holiday.

Absolute rip off. Do not go if you expect value for money. Miniscule amounts of wine at the first couple of stops. Almost angry enough to put in a formal complaint.

This is well worth booking, if you're here in Croatia, and looking to do something different. We were picked up, exactly on time, outside our hotel, and driven around 25 mins to the first winery. Our guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable and his English was good. We were offered two samples of wine and given a talk about the history of the winery. A short "road train" journey took us to a further two wineries and a flour mill. All very interesting, with tastings and the opportunity to buy products, we learned very little about the actual wine making process, but lots about the families whose businesses we visited. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable experience, particularly the final winery, where we were served Grandma's cake and some home made liqueur. The whole trip was around 4 hours from pick up to drop off. You need good walking shoes and a bottle of water! Would definitely do this again.
