I've read plenty of Beatles books over the years, but nothing compares to standing on the actual spots where the history happened, with a guide who knows the story inside out. Our guide, a Beatles researcher, writer and the host of the podcast There's a Place, was terrific. What really set this tour apart were the hidden gems: places you'd walk straight past without a second glance, each with its own surprising connection to the band. Along the way we also got a vivid picture of 1960s London, from the music scene to the clubs and the cultural shift happening on those very streets. It made the Beatles' story feel part of something much bigger. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about the Beatles and what it was like to be “on the scene” in London in the 1960s!
