Looking back at my Istanbul trip, one of the things I’m most grateful for is having Seyhan as my guide. From the very beginning, Seyhan was warm, friendly, and incredibly easy to be around. He was happy to customise pickup/dropoff transport, the days around the places I wanted to see, and never made me feel like I was simply following a standard tour itinerary. He was patient, flexible, and always willing to make the experience a little more special. As I was travelling solo, I especially appreciated how he would help take photos along the way. It may seem like a small thing, but having someone who happily stops, finds a good angle, and says, “Let’s take another one,” makes a solo trip feel a little less solo. But what I remember most is how natural everything felt. After a while, it didn’t really feel like I was with a tour guide. It felt more like I had a local friend showing me around his city, sharing stories, pointing out little details, chatting along the way, and making sure I was enjoying myself. Thank you, Seyhan, for being such a big part of making my Istanbul trip memorable. Sometimes the people you meet along the way become part of the story you take home with you.
Dear Alex, Honestly, your words really touched me. Thank you for taking the time to write such a beautiful and heartfelt review. One of the best things about being a guide is meeting people from different parts of the world, but sometimes a tour becomes something more than that. I’m really happy that you felt the same way. For me, showing someone my city is not just about the places we visit, but also about the moments we share and the connection we build along the way. I’m truly grateful that our paths crossed, Alex. You were a wonderful person to spend time with, and I hope our friendship continues beyond your visit to Istanbul. You’ll always have a friend here! Warmest wishes, Seyhan Istanbul By Locals
