AVOID. The tour was cancelled on the day we were supposed to be doing it on the grounds that my friend & I were the only two booked and it wasn’t worth their while to turn up. Barely a word of apology. Our booking was for 19 July, it’s now 28th and despite repeated promises no money has been refunded. My friend had travelled all the way from Scotland!! Absolutely disgraceful.
I would give this a ZERO, but lowest I can do is 1. My Scented Ghost Tour (starting at Bath Abbey) guide DID NOT show up 18th June at 7pm. I had a confirmation email at 7am, but they did NOT show up at Bath Abbey at all for 19:00 tour. We were at Bath Abbey well before 18:45, as we had dinner 50 feet away from the Abbey, within site of the meeting location. Another ghost tour guide did show up at 19:30 (and it was the woman in the cover photo of the advert). She was carrying a lantern as we'd be led to expecte they woul. She was looking sheepish when we approached her and asked if she was the guide for the Scented Ghost Tour. She said no, and quickly hid her lantern under her cape. She made some quick excuse and went around the side of the Abbey and met 6 other people waiting for a tour. We looked up the confirmation I had on my emails and HER photo was on it. We approached her again, and she said that someone named Simon had stolen her photo and used it. We called the phone number on the confirmation email and left a few voicemails from 7pm thru to 8:15pm. We texted on the night as well, and the next day, and have had NO REPLY. WE ARE NOT HAPPY with this very unprofessional level of service. I replied to Viator's email, but this bounced back. This is all VERY disappointing. We want to know what happened. Where was our guide. Why did they not show up. ... and we require a refund and compensation for a totally wasted evening on our 2 day trip to Bath. My ref : 1411335701
Really fun and innovative ghost tour with great storytelling and an engaging guide. A unique way to explore the city’s history.
We were greeted by Morgan Scream-man and Terror Swift who instantly captured our attention. They gave us lots of spooky and amazing grim tales, unusual scents & with a side of comedy. He did great to stop hecklers and keep us all engaged. Would definitely 100% recommend!!
Excellently guided by Terror Swift, with a good narrative by her co-host😁. Seriously well worth 2 hours spent on this good fun for all ages. Innovative and with great stories.
We started at Bath Abbey and this was my second time doing this tour, and it absolutely didn’t disappoint. I can’t recommend this company highly enough. It’s innovative, unique, full of energy, and packed with superb stories.
the tour was amazing. i laughed a lot and i loved the innovative. i’d highly recommend anyone to go see this place. i learned a lot about bath i didn’t know before and seen it in a new way.
Hi 394kairas! Thank you. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. If you’re now spotting bits of history you hadn’t noticed before, then the night has done its job. Glad you learned a lot of new facts. We really appreciate you recommending and coming on the tour.
Excellent tour, the guide was fantastic and told the stories in an exciting animated way. The scents added to the tour and added a unique experience. Would add to the tour if the guide maybey dressesd as one of the characters to give that extra spookiness ! Would 100pc recommend this tour.
Hi Stay37012355894 Thank you, it's great you enjoyed it so much! I’m pleased the animated storytelling and scents worked together to make it feel different — that layered atmosphere is very intentional. We appreciate all your feedback and it has already been actioned. ;) By all means feel free to follow our ghost blog on SGTB website and come again if you'll be again in Bath.
Great tour with a bit of comedy mixed with very informative and scary info Can’t praise this enough with the experiments thrown in Dr Green and Taylor Swift were both amazing
Hey Andy A! Thanks for your review, it's really nice to read and reply too. Sorry for the delay! Okay, we presume you meant "Terror Swift". ;) Meanwhile, I’ll let our guide Terror Swift know she’s been upgraded to “Taylor” again… her booking fees for us may rise accordingly. The little paranormal experiments are there to make the stories feel more immediate, creepy and give you guys all those shared emotions and memories so we're happy you enjoyed it and felt it was good value Andy. Thanks for coming along and embracing the madness with us.
We’ve done ghost tours before, but Scented ghost tours really stands out. The mix of dark humour, local history and scents like Rotting Flesh made it feel super immersive. I loved it, well acted too and great value for money I felt. :) Would absolutely do it again.
Evening Martyn H! Thank you, that’s kind words. We're glad the balance of dark humour, local history, and the slightly less pleasant scents made it stand out. I mean, well..“Rotting Flesh” rarely wins popularity contests, but it does its job. haha. :) It’s great to hear you found it immersive and good value as well. We’d be delighted to welcome you back for another evening of Bath’s stranger stories if you'll be around in Bath again at any time.
