I went in planning to buy a knife, but taking the knife sharpening class was an even better choice. It was fun, practical, and I was able to take a wonderful knife home. Such a great experience in Japan!

I had a lot of fun learning how to sharpen a knife the Japanese way! You get the option of two knives, one for meat and vegetables and the other for hard vegetables. They also sell whetstones and other knife supplies.

Super fun experience I can sharpen my own knives without getting frustrated.

We participated in the \"Custom Japanese Knife Making Workshop in Arashiyama\" and it was an incredible experience from start to finish.  Unfortunately, we needed to change the time of our reservation. The staff proved to be extremely helpful and accommodating: by paying a difference equal to half the cost of the ticket (in addition to the original ticket), we were able to make an immediate change and even have a private lesson on the spot! The quality of the workshop, the passion of the instructors, and the attention to detail make this workshop an unmissable activity in Kyoto. Going home with a custom-made Japanese knife is a priceless memory. Highly recommended to everyone!

A beautiful experience even for those who don't particularly love knives, an excellent reusable souvenir and super cute to take home. The guide was super cute and kind, especially to us since we didn't know English very well.
